After I voted, they stared me down in my car until I left. The violence of it was shocking. They really believe that democrats are “the enemy within.” How do we come back from this as a country?

I hope that might help but the extreme Right is mostly young neo-Nazis & 40ish undereducated. Those are the ones you need to worry about. Oh, and the superrich over classes
As far as voting, maybe, but generalizing about an entire generation is a mistake. It's offensive. The people who protested & helped end the Vietnam war aren't the couch potatoes watching Fox, and they vote, too.
How entitled are you if you think you shouldn’t read anything that may offend you? The internet probably isn’t for you. Besides, I live in a deeply blue state, the only people I know voting for orange Hitler are baby boomers. Also, have you seen footage of his rallies?
How entitled am I? I didn't say anything like that. You're assuming. You're lucky living in a deep Blue state. Some of us have to live in Red states & are fighting hard to elect Democrats. Try knocking on doors never knowing if you might get shot, then tell me I'm entitled. #VoteBlue
You don't come back from this. You fight it, by whatever means necessary. That is the only way to defeat these people and their fascist vision for America.
If certain sociologists who have been studying American cycles of history & generational patterns are correct, we don't emerge from this next decade without some sort of conflict-either something from within (Civil War) or without (World War) & one way or another, the current civic order is replaced
(These particular sociologists I tend to believe because they wrote a book in 1997 that predicted exactly the circumstances we currently find ourselves in right now.)
I am overwhelmed by all the amazing support on this thread—thank you all so much for your kind words! I’m trying to keep up with replies and new followers and will try not to miss anyone. Vote if you can and be safe! 💗
I was in Raleigh two weeks ago and the signs were split pretty evenly. A few times, we saw big Trump billboards, then big Harris billboards a couple hundred feet away.
God bless you because I’d have beat somebody’s grandma up today. Beat their ass. But I’m an abortion clinic escort so there’s that. I’m sorry I couldn’t have taken you. You’d be bailing me out right now but they’d have left you alone.
I don't know how we come back from it as a country but if the windows are down maybe we can hurl jugs full of trucker piss through them that's all i got
The only way to overcome it is to get as many people to vote as possible and keep voting extreme republicans out of office. Thank you for doing your part. Sorry you had to deal with those 3 haters. Let hate be the death of those who embrace it.

That was depressing.
Nvm, that's an entirely appropriate response.
Because that would be *hilarious*.
...this is getting off topic. I'm sorry that you experienced voter intimidation.
Still too much work
Thank you though lol
It's hard to see 'a way back' for Americans. IMO, Reagan set the USA down a path that takes it through plutocracy, autocracy, and ends in civil war.
