hello i am the account support on Bluesky and we detected a problem with your account. i need you to reply to this post your login details here so i can fix it thank you
The funniest thing of all this is that if you somehow gave sharks the power of higher-order thought and one shark suggested capitalism and rise and grind-ism to the rest of the school they’d eat him.
But Everyone can't. It is not universalizable. Capitalism is inherently hierarchical and we don't want that. We want people to be allowed to live without being extracted from. To keep all that they make.
Unless everyone is getting "a small loan of a million dollars," not jst anyone can own the means of production. You have to either be born into money or be part of a small percentage of people who actually work hard enough to get there (tho that brings up ethics and more problems with capitalism so)
All George Floyd had to do was exercise some gumption and hard work and he could’ve been the owner of his very own bbq sauce factory speaking of food I just got hit by a cast iron skillet am I making any sense right now
Too right man, now I'm going to go buy some coffee, chocolate, and diamonds, and then while drinking my coffee read about the conditions of the people who actually make or mine all of those things.
When police impound vehicles or engage in civil asset forfeiture what do you really think is happening? This is theft and murder. You seem to believe political liberalism and capitalism are self-sustaining ideologies that don't require an outrageous amount of violence by the state to maintain.
Yeah dawg, if you don't have a spare $34,000.00 to buy an industrial CNC router or space to keep it in your apartment you're basically just making excuses. Stop being a lazy ass and set up a factory in your cupboard.
means of production refers to the sum total of machinery, infrastructure and natural resources needed for a society to produce the things they need. No person can own the sum total, only fragments in the form of capital and extraction rights/land titles.
“Everything is fine the way it is” or “it’s only bad when it’s crony capitalism” guys have no hobbies or loved ones because they lack the necessary compassion to form meaningful bonds so they spend all day defending the system that elevates the richest men and keeps them at a 50k annual salary.
That so? I can take a pretty good guess and say no one that’s been party to this conversation owns any factories or machinery, or anything like that. Lemme go ask one of them billionaire fellas will loan me one of theirs so I can turn it into a co-op and oops I just got killed for asking.
Actually the giant magical omniscient and omnipotent rock edifice of the last king who sucked ass because he had depression gets you first. This is a recommendation to play Metaphor Refantazio
Anyone *may* but definitionally everyone cannot. The whole point of owning capital is to profit from labor arbitrage. Without the ability to extract profit from the difference between cost and value there is no reason to invest in ownership to compete in a market.
And yet so rarely do the people who actually deserve to own them do so. If me and my coworkers have to drag our miserable asses to work every day to flip shitty ass burgers then I'd say we have a much greater right to own our workplace than whatever eldritch amorphous abomination owns McDonald's.
But plenty of workers own means of production, they just might not be able to use it to produce things through lacking knowledge or even if they have the knowledge they might not have enough capital to work them as a stable source of income
That's pretty much only true of the artisan class. E.g. I own the yarn and needles I use to knit the things I sell. It doesn't make me enough to live on.
Well I think it depends on what we're considering the boundaries of an artisan class, but as I said yeah. Even though workers own tools which allow them to produce things they don't have enough capital to make a living from them
The other day people were saying Uber drivers owned the MoP because they had cars. On the surface this might make sense but we need to be less literal and look at what allows profit extraction. Ownership allows someone to determine wages and working conditions, hiring and firing.
It’s technically true. Theoretically anyone could happen to gain ownership of the MoP. But only a limited number of people can own MoP at once, and the odds of any specific individual doing so without possessing preexisting capital is very small.
The ratio on this post tells me you've been told. No reason to waste my time explaining to you how you don't understand what you just said and why it's wrong.
Nah, an artist or computer person or similar is still a laborer. The means of production in digital spaces would be something like YouTube or Twitch because they passively make income from the labor of producers (usually, ad revenue from people being entertained by the labor)
Yes, a programmer or digital artist is still a laborer, but they can own their means of production, their computer. Even if we consider those platforms to be means of production in their own right, you could create your own website and host it on your computer
This is how you would describe the relationship between, say, a director or game programmer or animator because even though they own cameras, game engines or artistic materials it is the capital holder that is the means of production because they dictate what is made and not.
Just because you don't have enough capital to run your means of production, doesn't stop them from being means of production. An indie game dev's computer is a means of production and it makes them a member of the petite bourgeoisie
Computer and phones are products. They are not the means by which to produce anything tangible. Most assets that can actually make products are wildly out of the price range of the average person.
Lol dude thought they actually had a point here. Ahahahahahahah. It's giving that one maga clip of the chud being like, "Let them have cake? But I like cake. Why can't you be happy I get cake?" Holy crap, you people are so dumb and funny. Super lol cow material

that's the problem.

If capitalism is a meritocracy and you’re not excelling in it, is it because you’re too stupid or too lazy?
Theoretical possibility is not practical reality. Get out of your capitalism fan fiction and learn more about the world that exists my dude
Bald Bezos’ bastard parents gave him 300k ( closer to a million in today’s money ) to build Amazon. After other failed projects.
That’s the way the story always goes.
so, no. you're just wrong.
🤔
But that's not real capitalism, right?
🤔
I will never understand it, mainly because it sucks a lot of butt
But, also,
2) I'm not so sure he's just trolling. Kinda doubt a guy who was in it for the love of the game would go to the block:
