Cops can only be disarmed as a result of criminal conviction, not as a result of a restraining order.
Cops exist in part to enable domestic violence. When they shoot someone on the scene? It’s usually the victim.

Some people consider me pretty extreme on gun laws (distrust of law enforcement/courts, opposition to mass imprisonment, wanting caused behind violent dealt with), but I agree with this. DV laws also need to actually be enforced for once.
