I Jumped Into HellThread And Made An Off-Vibe Joke Then Foolshly Doubled Downed And Immediately Got Blocked by Several Users Which Still Kind Of Stings Even Though It Was My Fault: by CapnMarrrrk
That’s right, something obscure that 99.9% of users don’t know about. That’s how you grow a stable social network, by alienating and excluding people without the idea that they may grow as people.
No… not a bit. Last week has seen a crazy amount of people posting rules and shit for newskies. Like, I get it, twitter is shit, why do we have to start off all authoritarian and shit here???
“Oh hey I know you have views that are incompatible with my participation in society, but welcome to the website I hope you change your mind!” yeah right.
“I don’t think you understand, Elon himself said my tweet was interesting, and you people tell me, a National Review author, to fuck myself with my own dick?”
kilgore meta posting is the perfect companion for my day-before-the-4th-of-july picnic. no one else showed up because i told them they couldn't use my #PicnicBlanket -- they need to bring their own obviously!!
This is it. The first skeet I’ve seen that gets screen grabbed for future use. 👍bc you know damn well we’ll have to use it frequently as BlueSky adds more users.
I wish people would stop doing this. I thought I left this kind of joking behind on Twitter. OK he's not serious whatever jokes like this are pointless.
Satire and sarcasm are ancient methods for stabbing at culture and power. Was popular way back to Greeks, Romans, Egyptians. Discounting this form would greatly limit understanding.
Just because 3000 people think something's funny doesn't actually mean it is funny to everyone else. When someone reskeets something without context, it's easy to take it as a serious statement.
I mean, that's true for every joke or humorous take. Some people don't like it or get it. Do we stop engaging in humor because it's not funny to someone, somewhere?
I like jokes like this, but that doesn't mean you have to like them. Fuck these nerds telling you what to like. There's nothing wrong with you for not liking the same humor as us.
The joke is, I think, in regards to that woman who decided to complain how unwelcome BS is to her, somebody with a horrible history of being far-right af and MAGA to boot?
you'd probably have a better time on some extremely specific mastodon instance where joke accounts are banned, but you're free to be weirdly upset about not getting the joke and making a scene and announcing your departure if you really feel like it.
you kid but I'm expecting to some journalist we all hate to actually write this for the Atlantic any day now, just like what's his name who was crying about trying to pick a mastodon server
there's no predominant professors of Middle Eastern studies with a pronounced sympathy for the Palestinian people, so there's nothing of value for her here

"OH! Shit. Well, now I'm embarrassed. On second reading, yeah... seems kind of obvious. I need a sarcasm check-up.☺️"
My emoji use is also embarrassing, but then, I'm ancient.
Strange way to start a non toxic social media.
Kudos.
- every awful person, ever.
No, they are hilarious
Them reaping on BlueSky: Well this fucking sucks. What the fuck.
"Not pounding the new Bluesky user in the butt when Newskie turns out to be devil from Bird App who wants to mess up every other bud's trot!"
Also, we need gifs…
