In my town, the library totally does. They have books about the history of our town, books that were part of the history of our town, and a really great rotation of exhibits in cases (and local art exhibits too!).
Could be so much better than "not just books".

So happy to say every library I've worked with since the 1990s loves to promote books, reading, book clubs, and literacy.
Clear messaging is always essential, as is customer service, all-inclusive community engagement, and readers advisory services.

Maybe contrasting the internet with a library, in the same way online shopping contrasts with irl shopping. Could be a more apt description of a library. With the focus on the browsing of course.
Maybe the slogan could be better -
"It's all happening! at the library"
