Gene Hackman has died at 95. I recently wrote about his performance in Night Moves for a Criterion release that will arrive in a few weeks. Like anyone who writes about Hackman's acting, I had to come up with novel ways to avoid the word "perfect." It wasn't easy. >

Thanks, Gene. For all of it.
Also, I feel like I would have enjoyed hanging out with him.
It is also a reminder everyone has their season in the Sun.
He had his season in the sun but due to technology besides people remembering him he will live on in spirit 4 many
🥲
He will be missed.
Hopefully, this Criterion release will rectify that.
Authorities claim "no immediate indication of foul play was suspected", but COME ON! A 90-yo man, his 60-yo wife, *AND* the DOG(?!?) all die of Natural Causes, at the *same* time? Nonsense!
💔❤️💔❤️💔
A truly great actor.
Best scene, the KKK club

1) Unforgiven
2) Crimson Tide
3) Hoosiers
It’s a silly film, really, and a slight part - but he became that character and invested it with depth that I don’t think is apparent in the screenplay. As a consequence, his performance elevates that movie.
One of the true greats.
He was a genius.
Rest in peace 🙏
he never gave a less than perfect performance.
He died with his wife and dog, no foul play though.
so what a natural gas leak
Still a supporting role.
I have to admit - most questions were about the car chase.
Or it's just that sex sells.
To Live And Die In LA, which was the breakout movie for:
William Peterson and Willem Dafoe.
My favorite actor and first screen crush.
Hmm.
His acting was “without blemish or noticeable flaw.”
He was a unique talent 💙💙💙
just remembering him from first movie I saw, French Connection.
