He/him. Democratic socialist, aspiring game designer. I like RPGs, roguelikes, simulation games, and more narrative-heavy games like the Telltale and Life is Strange games. I'll probably make this bio better sometime in the future.

Tbh I use my iPad to watch YouTube videos a lot when I just want to chill on my bed and watch a video but I started using YouTube ReVanced on my phone to not be overwhelmed by ads and I've been watching more and more on my phone as of late.

After seeing Witchbrook in the latest Nintendo Direct, I think I'm hooked from the start. That said, and I'm sorry of this comes off as asking for too much as someone not on the team, is there any way the team could make use of the Switch's local multiplayer functionality in addition to online?

I think this is more about politicians that match the values of the base of the Democratic Party, not necessarily the establishment.

I asked one of them (who apparently was defending the person who claimed that Kesha getting raped by her record producer was similar to a character she chose to VA for getting merch) to start to self reflect on how they come off towards normal people and they immediately blocked me.

I think as a reviewer he sees it as an obligation but it’s gotta be mind numbing by this point. Making yourself miserable for no reason.

I tend to relate a lot to characters who do bad things for sympathetic reasons that tend to get a lot of hate by a good amount of people. I like Stolas from Helluva Boss kinda like Chloe Price from Life is Strange.

For a second I thought it was because my long outdated version of the app on my phone finally shit the bed, but no, it’s just one of Elon Musk’s masterful slam-dick-in-car-door gambits.

Are you going for Celebii after this?

I really do wish this was standard practice for video games, or at least ones that can be played offline and/or with local multiplayer.

Former monarch and former misanthrope (though still an assassin). I'm not saying either are particularly amazing, just that they're products of their shitty environments. That and a character changing for the better is not the same as the show saying they're flawless.

You literally brought it up when you said Stolas kept it going when he didn't.

Blitzo mentioned in Full Moon that Stolas ever since Ozzie's had been letting him avoid their sexual encounters and was basically just giving the grimoire to him for free. I'd say that's basically ceasing the fetishy stuff on his end, at least.
comment in response to
post
Like, that's just character growth. Blitzo was still right to not believe him, Stolas sprung this on him seemingly out of nowhere and it seemingly contradicted what their deal was based on, sexual services for the grimoire. They were both right to feel how they did.
comment in response to
post
Right to feel what way? Are you talking about the fight they had in Full Moon? Stolas had already learned that their deal wasn't the big romantic delusional version of their relationship he had in his mind and was actively trying to end it in a way where Blitzo wasn't dependent on being with him.

What? Cheating is in no way as severe as rape. It's having sex with another person other than your partner without their consent. They were in an arranged marriage and never loved each other. Stella wasn't even mad that he cheated, it's that Stolas cheated on her with an imp.

into his own problems at the expense of seeing how other people are feeling. He's often really fucking oblivious, and part of that is related to his unconscious classism, like during his speech in the Harvest Moon Festival.
comment in response to
post
I mean, I think he was right to cheat on Stella not because he's gay but because she's abusive. I think it's fine to cheat on domestic abusers. That's a good message, I think. And no, the show still goes out of its way to show that Stolas isn't perfect, like with Octavia and his tendency to withdraw

My pfp is Akatosh. One of the Nine Divines, Dragon God of Time. Kinda important to the plot of Oblivion and the founding of the Third Empire. But as a mod creator? I guess I've made individual mods but I've never actually shared them yet. You might be thinking of someone else.

Also, I'm just drawing a blank on that first example. Getting upset that Blitzo never told him about Striker? How is that narcissistic in the slightest?
comment in response to
post
Also, while Blitzo's initial disbelief in Stolas's love confession was perfectly understandable given how most of their deal has unfolded up to this point, he did make fun of the very idea to his face. Is Stolas not allowed to be upset over that?
comment in response to
post
The only time where he's even acting somewhat stuck up in any of these scenarios is in the fourth one and it's played as a light joke. Also, the fuck is with that second example? "Stolas attempted to sacrifice his life for Blitzo so Blitzo won't be executed. What a selfish dick bag!"

Okay, I know you said you didn't want to focus on this but what the hell is the narc character drama about lol?

That'd be cool! Honestly, I want to do the same thing. I have two AAs, one in programming and one in game design but even after that I still feel like a beginner. Kinda feels bad.
comment in response to

I really do think people say that as a way to say they think the character designs are "cringe and Tumblr-coded" without saying it because if they did it'd become clear that their main critique isn't worth taking seriously.

ESO is honestly a really damn good MMO. I have a few issues, mainly relating to how easy non-dungeon/Trial combat is and some actually interesting tutorial quests completely being cut (that depended on the current Chapter) but otherwise it's a great time.

The only voters I blame here are the ones who voted Republican, not the ones who would have voted Democrat if Harris split with Biden on Gaza but since she didn't they felt they couldn't vote. Statistically that's not why she lost anyway.

You think calling out trans people that act like Blaire White is bigotry?
comment in response to
post
I am not berating Arab-Americans, I am berating a possibly small subgroup that voted for Trump, not knowing or not caring that he's even more genocidal than Kamala Harris. If the subject was queer Americans, I'd be mocking pick-me gay people and trans people that act like Blaire White.
comment in response to

I think minorities have agency and for the most part did vote against Trump. I know black people voted against him overwhelmingly. You don't need to play defense for the pick-me parts of any demographic.
comment in response to

Do you think jokes about the "Leopards Eating People's Faces Party" are offensive?
comment in response to

I'd imagine the amount of queer people who voted Trump was very small too, that doesn't give the few who did a free pass. I make fun of standard white Republicans all the time too. You're not going to see it here though, usually it's directly to them and there (thankfully) aren't many here.
comment in response to

You're right, they should have. Nothing I am saying is intended to come off as a defense of Democratic politicians.
comment in response to

I didn't villainize Arabs. I would expect most of them to be smart enough not to vote for him, just like I would expect most queer people to not vote for him. I will, however, always shame the exceptions.
comment in response to

Yeah, it is. I didn't start the convo about Arabic people and the election, they did.

Did you just not take a look at the person right above me?
comment in response to

I'm not the one who first brought up Arabs and Muslims. I'd say a very similar thing about queer people who voted Trump btw. Same with women. Same with poor people. Same with members of any demographic he's expressly dedicated himself to making their lives worse.
comment in response to
post
You think I have any empathy for white Americans who voted Trump? No, I don't have empathy for pretty much anyone who proudly voted for a pedophilic racist queerphobic billionaire and his Nazi best friend.
comment in response to
post
A good amount of them did. I'm not talking about the ones who didn't vote at all.
comment in response to
post
Well yes. They're pretty fucking bad but you'd need to be either brain dead or cartoonishly evil to think the Republicans were the better option here. Trump voters really do deserve the absolute worst.
comment in response to
post
It's not even about the Democrats. If you voted Trump you're a danger to pretty much everyone around you.
comment in response to
post
I'm not saying otherwise. Breaking with Biden on Israel should have been something Kamala Harris campaigned on and she didn't. But voting Trump was still the worst option and we're all seeing the end results of that now.
comment in response to
post
I mean, if an Arabic person voted for Trump they did, in fact, vote for their own executioner.

Do you think this could be fought in the courts? This doesn't have anything to do with medicine and it seems pretty easy to oppose just on First Amendment grounds.

Ah yeah, Masquerade seems like a good episode to show to an 8 year old, why the hell not?
comment in response to

I'm not even bitter, I'm just opinionated and frustrated. I don't expect everyone to like the shows and I have a good amount of critiques of my own but so many of them that I've heard are from people who miss seemingly obvious things or haven't watched them at all.

After seemingly losing Octavia I think he genuinely wanted to die.

Yes, I know that's ironic for a trilogy criticized for being way more bloated compared to the book, but there's a lot better emotional payoff with the story of the dwarves in that version - that I actually do own. I'm looking to get the extended editions of LotR on Blu-Ray eventually.
