Like I said, it doesn’t consistently work with Proctorio. I was lucky last time I tried Edge that my teacher let me retake in Chrome because Proctorio crashed in the middle of an exam and forced me out of the exam window

What? Spanish is being taught in American schools because it’s the second most spoken language in the nation. We don’t have a national language in this country, despite what MAGA might try to make you believe.

Threads and articles ≠ peer-reviewed research. Again, grow up. You’re exhausting, so I’m blocking you. Have fun crying about how you need a girl to put you first 100% of the time cause you can’t be bothered to wipe your own ass and make your own food tho.

Imagine trying to use AI to make a point 😂😂 AI will literally say anything you ask it to, and the information that it gives is often wildly inaccurate. Grow up and learn how to do actual research.

If my spouse left because I put our child first, I’d help them pack 😂😂 you have a very juvenile view of relationships. Unsurprising that you’re single, hope you stay that way, bestie 🤘🏻

Both parents should be prioritizing the children over the partner… they’re children. If you leave them alone, they die. The same is not true for adults. If you don’t want your partner prioritizing a child over you, maybe don’t make a child.

Back then it really came down to monetary distribution. White schools were better schools because they got money from the government to be better, to have up-to-date textbooks and teaching tools, while black schools were mainly maintained by the community members and often had to do without

They/them were singular pronouns long before they were pluralized. Furthermore, I promise you use them to refer to a singular person more often than you realize. “Oh, someone lost their umbrella, hope they find it” rolls better than “someone lost his or her umbrella, hope he or she finds it”

I use Firefox as my default browser for non-Proctorio or panapto things (another school thing, where my teachers post video lectures for online classes for the stuff they don’t have on campus), but I still hate that I have to use google chrome pretty much every single day

I wish we had the time. He’s military and in school, works 12 hour shifts, and I’m a full time student and freelance online work, so our free time adds up to a whopping hour, maybe 2 if we’re lucky 🥲 we’re too old for this shit.

I’m struggling with letting Google go mainly cause of Chrome. It’s a shitty browser, but it’s the only one that works consistently with Proctorio, which I need to complete my degree. I’ve tried Microsoft Edge, Opera, Firefox, Safari, none of them run Proctorio properly and it pisses me off :/

Grocery prices are so bad that my husband and I are back to eating like we did when we worked minimum wage jobs as teens. Ramen noodles, canned soup, and frozen meals, because we can’t fucking afford real food.

She’s not indie, but she is absolutely fantastic, Kalynn Bayron! One of my all time favorite YA writers!

Very simply, they don’t care about all children, only rich children. I grew up poor and remember when our school finally instituted free lunch. I remember some parents protesting outside our school about how if our parents couldn’t afford to feed us they should have killed us in the cradle

This right here is why I’ve been a loud advocate for physical media. You don’t own digital media, you’re paying a price for access to it until the company you purchased access from decides you don’t get to have it anymore. Fight the power, buy physical media!!

Partly yes, partly no. Remember it was admitted on live television that Elon helped to rig this election. Trump has never fought fairly, and while there were people who voted for him, I wonder just how many of those votes were legitimate

This is a tough one… hmmm… maybe The Phone Booth at the Edge of the World by Laura Imai Messini. It’s a beautiful story on love, loss, and healing

Pfft I wish. When there ARE eggs in our stores here in Florida, the cheap eggs I could buy for $2 a dozen 4 months ago are currently $6 and the fancy eggs I was treating myself with that were $4 a dozen are up to $16.

It’s bad enough that the gym radio station is incredibly shitty, I don’t wanna hear someone’s Taint podcast while I’m trying to do my RDLs 🥴

You could try over the ear headphones. I use Skullcandy hesh ANCs as my daily, and they come with an aux cable to use wired when you want, the sound is fantastic for the price, and they stay charged forever. I charge them maybe once a week with daily use

I like the “I fought the law because the law is fascist and racist” and “I love my family and I will fight the government to protect them” country, not this bullshit “I love my truck and my guns and beer and women young enough to be my daughter” bullshit “country”

Also if you like classic movies and documentaries, and you have a participating library or are a student/in the military, you can sign up for Kanopy for FREE. I watched a bunch of old 50s monster movies last night, it was fantastic

Even better yet, ditch streaming services and collect physical media so that you directly support who you want to support, because I promise that all the big heads in streaming are in the pockets of the billionaires that want you to die once they’ve wrung your wallet dry

I’m concerned with that as well, as I use a Pell grant to pay for my education. Our local fire department has lost funding because of this “pause” so I sure hope no one’s house catches on fire any time soon 🙃

My community is being attacked from all sides as a gay, nonbinary, autistic, AFAB person with a husband in the military. We’re getting me a knife for self defense (I don’t trust myself with guns, due to clinical depression). It’s got sprinkles on it and a pretty blue blade, a “Dessert Warrior”

In my defense, I just do things on my phone that don’t require sound. I can’t stand wearing earphones or headphones, but in public spaces my phone is MUTE and captions are on.

Following your restaurant rule, I’d ban talking loudly at restaurants period. I should not be able to hear 4 people’s whole conversations when sitting down to dinner, whyyyyy are people so loud, even when the restaurant music is quiet.
