Does Pete Hegseth care that he put the lives of our servicemembers at greater risk? It's unacceptable.   Everyone in that Signal chat needs to lose their jobs.

Pete Hegseth is a f*cking liar. This is so clearly classified info he recklessly leaked that could’ve gotten our pilots killed. He needs to resign in disgrace immediately.

NBC News: The Espionage Act contains a provision making it crime to disclose national defense secrets "through gross negligence."   The law does not require info be classified, because it was written before the classification system existed. The law refers simply to "national defense information."

The bad news for JD Vance and the rest of the folk gaslighting the facts is that the public is paying more attention to this story than any since Trump came back to power: www.messageboxnews.com/p/trumps-mos...

Teen Warned Not To Accept Group Chat Invites From National Security Advisors She Doesn’t Know

"This is just the one chat we know about. What other sensitive US government details are on Signal? What is being done to keep that in approved classified channels?" On the pod, national security lawyer @bradmossesq.bsky.social is highly illuminating on this scandal: newrepublic.com/article/1931...

Waltz must go. Hegseth must go. Gabbard must go.

The headline is Pete Hegseth posted battle plans in a chat with The Atlantic But Vance, Rubio-and several unnecessary persons-were also in the discussion And the CIA Director disclosed the identity of an active intelligence officer-which in itself could be a crime All on a commercial texting app

It always comes back to Russia, doesn’t it? www.cbsnews.com/news/trump-e...

Trump seems to owe a heck of a lot of favors to russia 🤔

Pete Hegseth must resign or be fired immediately.

Pete Hegseth never should have been tapped for this job. It's too important. He should be fired immediately.

Lest we forget, Hegseth had his Venmo set to public until reporters called him out: prospect.org/politics/202...

"In other words, in about eight weeks DOGE managed to lose the U.S. government — more or less light on fire — more than half of what goes to all non-defense discretionary spending." talkingpointsmemo.com/edblog/irs-p...

It's an ironic PS to today's amazing Jeffrey Goldberg story that the editor-in-chief of the Atlantic is more responsible with US national security information than any of the principals of the Trump national-security team www.theatlantic.com/politics/arc...

Hegseth is literally denying a story that the NSC has already confirmed and in which receipts were printed verbatim. Remember this the next time he impugns another journalist.

Yes, they are terrible people. But today’s story reminds us that they are also incompetent and stupid. This means that they are vulnerable.

Most astonishing US security breach in my lifetime. And the *stupidest.* The endless question: In the struggle between malevolence and incompetence on Team Trump, which will prevail? Recently malevolence has been in the team. But Team Stupidity can't be counted out.

Important thing about this jaw-dropping story is that even if Jeff Goldberg hadn't been invited into the chat, Hegseth was sending out detailed military stuff over a civilian app that *even the other people in the conversation probably didn't need to know about* "Need to know" means "need."

Lol 😂

Every single Democrat in Congress should be demanding the resignation of Waltz and Hegseth. Every single one. This is a massive scandal. There should be a serious price to pay. AND THERE IS ZERO DOWNSIDE FOR EVEN THE MOST SCAREDY-CAT CONGRESSPERSON.

🤔🤔🤔

Pro tip: Schedule group war chats, for before happy hour, not after.

I mean very obviously Hegseth should resign, and if it were a Democratic administration this would be quickly be a consensus position.

If Biden had ever tried to prevent lawyers and firms representing Jan. 6 clients from entering federal buildings, or pulled the security clearances of lawyers representing Trump, there would have been calls for impeachment THE NEXT DAY. That’s all

Anyone paying attention?

“France’s research minister said a French scientist was denied entry to the US this month after immigration officers at an airport searched his phone and found messages in which he had expressed criticism of the Trump administration.” He had been traveling to a conference near Houston, TX. 3/19/25

“One young man sobbed when a guard pushed him to the floor. He said, ‘I’m not a gang member. I’m gay. I’m a barber.’ I believed him. *** He “began to whimper,” as his head was roughly shaved, “folding his hands in prayer as his hair fell.” He “asked for his mother & cried as he was slapped again.”
