Clinton, who came after Regan, cut over 350,000 federal jobs. There should always be a review of the federal (and state and local) workforce at least every few years to cut out redundancy. This is MY money being spent. I want it spent wisely.

It’s temporary. Once they’ve audited govt spending and cut out all the waste, doge’s job will be done and they can go back to the private sector.

I’m pretty sure the situation is people are laid off until doge can see where the money is going. If employees can show their worth (as is done in most private sector businesses), they will be allowed to continue in their job(s).
