Also it doesn't necessarily follow that he was interested in the experimental side of it. Why bother getting a famous animation studio in the room with you to show them your experiment if the idea isn't "I hope they like/use/buy what we're selling"

The point of training animals to make art is to try to understand something about their brains/give them enrichment/ idk, for fun? I'm not an animal trainer. Pretending computers have a capability to "create" anything without a conscious author behind them is delusional.
