I drive way too fast without a seat belt against the flow of traffic. I shoot bombs and fireballs and heat-seeking shells at other vehicles.

Our Heroes are going to get out of this Terrible Situation. And the bad guys probably will not. That's cozy.

MH husbands speaks fluent French but he had no experience ordering coffee in French. At a Starbucks in Montreal, after similar fumbling, the barista said "just order it in English".

This was on Nickelodeon and there is a relatively well-detailed Wiki page, so there are probably more people who remember it, but I loved it when I was a kid.

Two paths diverge in a wood, and the American people want .. that path? Really? We've already been down it, last time you said you didn't want to go that way again, but now you think it sounds good?

This is Jasper. She wants you to drop some food already because she hasn't ever eaten before.

Light treason at most!

It would be nice if we were willing to consider good ideas from other countries for implementing here, rather than never do that because the way we do it is obvs the best because America. One of these is sensible and the other is dumb but I guess makes some people feel good?

I've had too many bad experiences with people named Flower-like. You should stay away.

It's just common sense to "burn the chaff with unquechched fire" but I didn't realize Bernie Sanders was in the bible so much.

At least whole bay leaves stay good a long time.

My cousin and I went to see Policy Academy 6. I was 11, she was 13. There were a bunch of teenage boys and she talked loudly to them the entire movie. After my uncle asked how we liked the movie and I said I couldn't hear anything. He sighed and said he'd hoped I would keep her "under control". wtf

"Argle bargle" is a lot fewer words that mean the same thing.

Sandwich Sprinkle is fantastic for any "I need to add something to this but I don't know exactly what" situation.

My dad had breast cancer. He's fine now. Also my mom had breast cancer (she's fine too). Guess who gets to have a yearly MRI and doesn't have any issues with people referring to it as "chest cancer"? (did you guess me? cause it's me)

Some people have a tendency to play the devil's advocate all the time. For "smart people" I think this sometimes morphs into chronic contrarianism. Might also be the $$$. Not mutually exclusive.

The progression of cars from merely "old and crappy" to "literally disintegrating in the weeds" is sort of impressive.

To them, everyone is either a grifter or a mark. Walz is VP nom so not a mark, therefore he's a grifter and must always be full of shit for them to dig up. So far this is the best they've found.

I weed books like this out of Free Little Libraries on the regular. Not sorry.

I was friendly with some rugby players several years ago. Went to one's birthday party and all their rugby friends came with their SO's who were also all women. I asked if everyone on the team was gay and they all pointed at this one woman and said "Amanda is straight".

He's got 2 other kids he doesn't even remember. Real paragon of parental virtue.
comment in response to post
For a long time we weren't sure if we wanted to have kids. Finally did have one. I do not think that choice says anything about my mental state. I am also pretty darn invested in other people's kids having a better future than the ones our parents (and their childless friends) left for us.

My mother was a US home birth. She has a birth cert that she got when she was in high school with affidavits (that she obtained at the time) from the doctor and 2 adults who knew her since birth. And it was very difficult for her to get a passport a few years ago.

So, just out of curiosity, did you feel sick correspondingly with the test line? Like more sick == darker line, or was there no correlation?
comment in response to post
I distinctly remember yelling at my mother "Quit treating me like an in-VAL-id" when I was about 14. I do not remember why I felt like she was treating me that way.

They also didn't bother to come up with a plausible response when people inevitably noticed the numbers. The lack of preparation for this conspiracy/cover up is embarrassing.

Never worked for an NGO but also true at regular company job. I like my boss but I had one project where I was basically reporting to another guy who was a nightmare. I was very close to quitting, when he changed roles. The job was the same but the boss made all the difference.

I'm just happy to have learned so much more about Judith. From the first 3 books we knew "There is a paladin named Judith." Now we know ... like 3 times as much as that!
