Seriously, tho, vote for him like your life depends on it 🇨🇦
Someone like Mr Carney hardly ever turns to politics and he will walk away and not return if he’s not voted in - you’ve got a chance in a lifetime

Wow you have such an impressive PM Canada! 🤩
If you don’t want him can we have him please?! 😆🇦🇺 an Australia / Canada trade? (We can give you Dutton aka Trump Wannabee)

Such crazy times when the USA feels more of a foe than Iran 😳
We had pencilled in a trip to Hawaii - been there 4 or 5 times now and love it
Easy overnight direct flight from Sydney
Going to Cairns instead

Most of Australia 🇦🇺 is quietly thinking: “OMG! Maybe Canada 🇨🇦 will want to be super buddies with us!” 🤞

Spud seems to be channeling Trump in wanting to bypass checks and balances. We're sleepwalking into dictatorship like the US just did...

Electoral office has redrawn the voting lines in Sydney (NSW lost a seat, n Syd) It impacts the teals and sadly they will struggle to return - I say sadly as the LNP candidates are Trump lookalikes (McKellar dude talking about travel in outer space, shame we can’t send him there)

Thank you ❤️ we have an election in May and a Trump wannabe
And we have Murdoch press and fox news (called sky news here)
So worried we get our own Trump 🤯

Mm that’s what I thought - they vote like the rest of the right wing pack

Concerned Aus here and watching this cheers me up
I keep thinking:
“the only thing necessary for the triumph of evil is for good men to do nothing”
Are these really GOP people or can anyone attend the town hall meeting?

I worked hard to get rid of the LNP in our seat and we got a teal instead
I wanted to decimate the LNP and punish Morrison But was it a mistake? 🤯we got rid of “moderates” and now there’s a lunatic Trump wannabe in charge of the LNP… so scared he gets in 🤦♀️

It’s so tempting, when seeing the 🤡, to think negatively of all Americans, when there must be so many who are sick to their stomach and feel they’re living a nightmare
We are just watching in fear from a distance 😥

ABC reporting that the radar tech was meant to go to the U.S. before Canada, but there was uncertainty about it due to Musk and DOGE's Pentagon audit.
'"The Canadians were always going to follow the US purchase and slipstream off that" but circumstances changed and "things moved quickly".'

I feel for everyone- for Americans who didn’t vote for this and must be living a nightmare
And particularly for Canadians who have been swept up in this mad man’s push for power
Our son and fiancé are thinking of a trip to Ottawa in June and I’m actively encouraging them to support tourism

Sending hugs 😥 I understand
We are boycotting here too in Aus and our PM has called to buy Aus - eg don’t buy Coca Cola, buy Bundaberg -
We bought a Toyota hybrid last week when originally we thought of a Tesla
We are inconsequential in the market but the outrage is palpable

So I think of Canada and wonder how long it would take post Trump to forgive and forget

That's great,” the father said, “But I want you to notice something. Look at those holes in the fence. Those holes don't go away when you take the nails out. It's the same thing when you say or do something hurtful to someone else; you can try to take it back later, but the damage remains”

The boy did just that. The first few days he hammered many nails into the first panel. Then, gradually he slowed down until he didn't need to do it anymore.
His father gave him a new challenge: remove a nail from the fence for every day he controlled his temper. Eventually, all the nails were gone

When I see Trump speaking so disparagingly of his allies I think of this:
A young boy had difficulty managing his temper. His father gave the boy some nails and a hammer and said, “Every time you feel like lashing out at someone, pound a nail into the backyard fence.”

Let’s hope the people rise up as Trump and Elon seem to be ignoring the judiciary now

The tentacles are far reaching - it is impacting here too
US Companies with branches in Aus have told them to dismantle any D&I policies
Universities here have had funding cut for collaborative “woke” research
Our May election has a Trump-wannabe in opposition
Scared he gets in 😥

I don’t know what to say - it’s just so hard to read the news each day
The world feels upside down
Hang in there 😥 ❤️
