There needs to be a YouTube series that does dramatic readings of court hearings like this one š¶ļø š¶ļø š¶ļø
Thank you for covering it!

Declaring tariffs got everyone to stop talking about signalgate. Iād bet they thought it would go really well for them, too. They appear to have a very over inflated sense of their own capabilities to conceptualize and implement policy.

I wonder what the signal chat between Miyares and Winsome-Sears looks like right now.

Mute words phrases and accounts related to content that you donāt want to see. Seek out accounts whose content you do want to see. Takes a few days and active curating but it works.

$21M during the ARPA funding years*
Federal funding and skyrocketing property values supported that kind of city contribution.

They may as well, itās not like theyāre doing anything since theyāve surrendered their constitutional powers to the executive branch.

Iām struck by how informed this focus group is. What (if anything) does that say about Trump to Harris voters?

I donāt blame them either. It is unhealthy though - itās what keeps our leaders from ever making tough decisions or dreaming big because thereās always a large chunk of the city that stand in the way of progress bc theyāre certain its all corruption in disguise.

I assumed the Richmond rumor mill was always a part of the cityās character. Did it not exist before then?

Truly though, what are these republicans doing? Usually the answer is some form of āgrow their power and influenceā but these senators are actively giving away their advise/consent authority instead. Theyāre not even putting up a fight.

Iāll be interested to see how this take plays on this platform. It seems like a good chunk of us would have gladly seen Musk or Zuckerberg ousted for their reckless leadership of their social media apps.

Did many of the journalists make the switch yet? If so you can maybe cut the main news accounts and rely on the individual journalists to promote their (local) work.

Can anyone summarize what his actual point is? Just isolationism is bad? I refuse to subscribe to the financial times for the pleasure of engaging with Mitch McConnells thoughts.

This weeks social media experience is so reminiscent of the submersible incident! I think his being responsible for his own death made that incident more fun to watch. Now Iām just sad that our world is so broken that vigilante justice feels like the only justice.

If ever there was a Supreme Court that would undo a pardon, itās this one - but I take your point. I meant more broadly though that I thought their immunity decision protects the president but not necessarily whatever āillegal actā theyāve done.
comment in response to

I donāt care that he pardoned his son.
I DO care that he fought hard for himself (to run for reelection) and broke with norms for his kid (blanket pardon) but that he didnāt fight/break with norms to restore Roe, lower costs, etc for the American people.
SC would shut him down & heād just shrug.

RUDE, manipulative texts and emails no less. Then brag to the media about your record setting fundraising hauls.
I absolutely think this contributed to the āout of touch Demsā perception.
comment in response to

Thank you for pointing out that this may have a long term effect on support for the party. I think this is especially true this year where Dems insisted the economy was good but ppl didnāt feel that way. If you understand ppl are struggling w/ inflation then why shake them down with texts all day?
comment in response to

Did they? Or did the Supreme Court just say that the president couldnāt be tried? Honest question. Seems the court could overrule a decision but the president wouldnāt face legal consequences.
