I like to think of myself as a very happy person, but I have room for hatred of their evil.

As I told you earlier, withdraw your money from the bank or credit union. The FDIC will not protect you anymore, thanks to the fascists.

Please allow me to personally thank you and the CFPB for saving my home. You took on Wells Fargo when they were cheating me, back in 2010.

One of my favorites. "There are those who require alcohol to give them courage. I'm not one of them!" And then she throws a cocktail in his face ...

That's an excellent quotation from The Philadelphia Story. I *will* say that it's a bit paternalistic/misogynistic. (The film.) I felt sorry for Tracy; she was caught in a society that didn't give her many options.

I just think that people who are nice can't bring themselves to be honest. His conversion may have been heart-felt, but it was also convenient.

One wonders how much his conversion was tied to his desire to break up with her. Often, "nice" people lack the courage to be honest.

I saw that movie back when I was a film major in college (a million years ago), and I've never forgotten it. It always makes me laugh! Bette Davis was so terrific.

An excellent idea! I haven't had a garden in many years. When I lived in Boston, I was upstairs and left the yard to my downstairs renters. My last garden was when I lived in San Francisco, 20 years ago. I tried to grow tomatoes, but it was too foggy! Tomatoes should do better here, in central CA.

Elon Musk makes me want to believe in Hell. He would be one of those in the lowest circle who's being eaten by Dante's Satan.

I suppose we need to prepare ourselves for produce becoming ridiculously expensive year 'round, due to Trump. I just moved back to California and agriculture is going to take a serious hit. Maybe I'll start a tiny garden on my condo's balcony. 😊

SNL's 50th was really good! Several parts made me tear up. The film with John Belushi was so sad! I still remember its first season ....

My favorite of all time is, (said with a Southern American drawl) "Why, I'd just LOVE to kiss you, but I just washed my hair." (Bette Davis in "Cabin in the Cotton," 1932)

It's nice to have strawberries in the winter! I'm old enough to remember when you could only buy produce in season -- at least in the Midwest, where I grew up.

I never think of the British Film Awards as Hollywood, but I guess award shows are all more-or-less the same. I do love it when Tennant hosts anything! Before MG (and Cumberbatch and some others) he was my movie crush.

I also recommend Merlin! I have trouble spotting birds in the trees, but I can press the button, and Merlin tells me what's singing. May I also recommend Cornell University's Ornithology Lab? They have all sorts of bird songs, bird videos ... many ways to learn more about birds, if you're interested

I'm quite concerned about Musk getting involved with social security! Who is going to rein this guy in?

She said (in the book) that it was OK to be different. Clearly, that's not allowed in Trump's (Musk's) world. *sigh* It's so awful to live in this dystopian nightmare!

They should all be listening to Bernie. He's the only one who has consistently said the same thing, and who consistently calls out the Democrats for their mistakes. He knows what is necessary, moving forward.

I'm so frightened of the future! I joked with a friend that my retirement money might be safer under the mattress. I wish I knew what was the best thing to do?

Well ... that was also true with Nixon, Reagan, and Dubya. So, not really news.
