On the one hand, DK is a lot like TO (plenty of talent offset by plenty of drops). On the other hand, Seattle needs to get some big names on O. Or at least big production.

I'm okay with this. Both for her and for the Chiefs.

A solid throwback to earlier times, but updated, crisp, and clean.

I read this as Release the Karen! And thought it just as apropos.

1) How would it be worse than it is now? 2) What is the viable alternative? You could never have convinced 75 million people to vote 3rd party in this election. Even if by some magical thinking you could get a 3rd party president, they would have near-zero influence over a 2 party congress.

It won't improve by bitching at random strangers on the internet after failing to stop making it worse. I never said don't ask for better. I'm saying do less harm is the starting point before all else. You will never make it better by demanding someone with aspirations but zero impact.

Because one of the two parties will be in control. That will not change anytime soon. Voting for a party with no chance of changing things is no less evil, going by your measure. It's selfish posturing that does as much harm to those in danger, and ignores the very real harm likely coming here.
comment in response to post
Well evil is your choice in modern politics. There is no other. There is no pure candidate. There is no clean party. Sitting it out is still enabling it. And black and white thinking does not improve anyone's life. Which brings us back to either moving away from the worse evil or letting it happen.

Different from expecting Jordan and Egypt to take more refugees so Israel can finish bombing whatever's left? Different from "Let Bibi do whatever the he'll he wants"? Yes. I don't agree with letting the greater evil have free rein just because the lesser evil isn't doing enough for me.

"The statement you made is not the statement you wanted to. And we all saw it but you." Putting him in charge was a vote for Fuck Palestine, not Free Palestine.

It doesn't just make dough rise, it makes it expand. I used to be 5'9" and 150. Now I'm over 6', but also over 200. Fair warning.

I want good things for Bwags, but can't seem to get behind the Commanders any more than I can the Chiefs. I'd rather see an Eagles/Bills bowl. Want Bobby to have an awesome game either way.

Both QBs balled out as well as can be expected in that weather. Cold and snow impact the throw in ways you can't practice for accurately.

I was thinking the same about Dan Quinn after last year's blowout in the first round of the playoffs. Quinn's doing alright, but it does lead to questions about whether Glenn can turn around an average-at-best roster.
comment in response to post
Except if you cheer for the Lions, apparently. Even when they turn it all around, they don't get their shot at the big game.

Two field goals and a PAT that didn't go Houston's way, one of which led to a KC touchdown. This really could have been a different 4th quarter. Bad penalties aside, KC has some voodoo luck with special teams this year.

Lions/Bills in the bowl. But the Eagles better take down the Rams.

I'm divided on DK because he should be in the "good player" column every game, but then he'll drop 3 passes and get more penalties than yards.

1) I never said I agreed with the rule, just that it's a sham in the NFL. I knew they were gunning for Vrabel before they even fired Mayo. 2) If you think hiring Vrabel is hiring on merit, instead of feelings, you're as dumb as the franchise.

Oh yeah? Count to 12 without singing. I dare you.

Mixon* autocucumber is getting annoying.
comment in response to post
Not really. Mixing wasn't the answer at running back. Rarely got the short yardage when it was necessary, often got hit in the backfield, and didn't have the strength to break enough tackles. And that wasn't on him, Cincinnati's scheme didn't allow for it. They need a bruiser who can wreck D lines.
comment in response to post
Vrabel spent a long time making magic out of nothing on D, elevating trash to mediocre. Which is why it might take the Pats 6 years to figure it out.

Rooney rule is really having a positive impa... never mind. Rich people gonna do what they want, even when they made up the rules they don't follow.

Not a hater, but this should settle the argument of him or Burrow. Not even a competition. Maybe an argument of him or Cousins.

It's been said before on this thread, but I've spent years all over the south. They are worse at driving in winter than most other places in the country. Horrible.

Between the two, Ravens. But i want a Bill's Lions Superbowl something fierce.
comment in response to post
After watching today's game, I could be okay with that, but really want to see the team land a smash n dash back who isn't injury prone. They don't need a Henry or Barkley, but even a Montgomery would be nice.

You know what it makes me think of? Better Off Dead with the brothers who learned English watching Wild World of Sports. He's just doing what he grew up on, rather than acting natural.

If Charbo is in line to be the lead back because K9 can't go regularly, the Hawks are in a hurt locker in the run game. K9 is electric, Charbonet is just acceptable. Most of the problem is the line, but he needs to find holes better and break the first tackle more.

Pulling the dub out despite 1 offensive TD. Would love to have seen the 3TD streak continue, but keeping playoffs hopes alive on a team effort is more important.

I don't think many people are calling Caleb a bust yet. Lot of leeway for how bad the coaching has been. 2-3 years from now, if he's not made strides in winning tough games, he might be called a bust until/unless he finds a new home and improves.

It's the Lions for me. Too long at bottom of the the NFC l. They're working hard for it.

I've been annoyed with this narrative for years. "They wrote us off and disrespected us. We will prove them wrong," and it'll be from Tom Brady in his 7th superbowl or some crap. American sports has an obsession with the underdog story to where I don't think teams know how to win as anything but.

This.

Great pass combined with the Bengals D being Bengals D this year. CBs will have an interception and then give up a long pass on any given drive.

Sophomore slump in full effect.

KC's Defense is more valuable this year. Majored is making just enough magic to win, but it's a down year for him. Not league wide MVP caliber.

Lamar is elite. Allen is elite. Both of them have better teams around them than Burrow. If Joe had two more wins, he'd have to be in this conversation. No one is more important to their team. I think Allen will get it because there is a debate over two players in Baltimore elevating each other.
