The soul destroying pattern of the season continues. Totally overrun by the top teams & scrambled lucky victories against the lower teams, just sufficient for the manager to cling on to his job. Zero improvement from last season.

I heard a rock critic recently say that what stood this documentary apart was that Scorcese concentrated on the interplay between the musicians rather than them just playing their instruments which is very true. There’s a LOT going on.

I’ve got 6 of yours in my best of the year list (Sherwood, Baby Reindeer, Mr Bates, Traitors, Freddie F & One Day). I absolutely loved Ripley and have just finished After The Party which is excellent.

I didn’t see that coming but this performance is now the benchmark. A focussed Paqueta makes so much difference.

I’m all for giving someone a chance but I’ll be astonished if he turns this around. There’s no sense of forming a style of play that works. Hardly any of the players have played to their level all season.
