Agree on Okkels, can't say I see it. Besuijen, though, seems to be someone the less anyone sees of him the better he gets.

Actually thought Nilsen has been alright. Shinnie, though, has been worse than a man short.

Ooh, I believe her name is Paige or something IRL. My pal went out with her while on a year long exchange to Seattle in the early 90s. Think she was an extra in Sleepless in Seattle too.

Might doing a lot of heavy lifting in that sentence min. Genuinely can’t think of a single team I’d be confident of us taking a point off, never mind three. My visit to Easter Road next weekend might be my last for a while unless we sign a proper striker and remember the fundamentals of defending.

Me and the missus have a standing joke about the BBC doing stories about the BBC. Loves nothing better than gazing at its own navel.

Keith's ace. Did a commission for me a couple Christmases ago and it's a belter.

Saw some good advice the other day there. Ignore the stupid shit these fuckers say, just get angry when they actually do something moronic and hateful. Least you'll stay sane.

Kenny McIntyre is now Richard Gordon I'll grant you that. However, I suspect a bunch of Central Belt types prefer him as there's less AFC bias nowadays. It's not an objective thing - most people if they're honest prefer bias they're in favour of rather than listening to something with no side at all

I'm sure that sounded smarter in your head than it does written down min.

I'm currently in the Canary Islands with little other option and it worked fine for me min. I'm always a little sceptical when folk go a little Trumpy complaining about bias in the media, when all they really mean is it doesn't offer bias they agree with.

Pretty sure he couldn't care less. If everyone says nice things all the time it's a dreadful show.

Shite news. Twin Peaks is the greatest thing to ever be on the telly (other than the CWC final in 1983).

Started by far the better team and should've been a couple up in the first half. Fell away badly though. Okkels did nothing and needs to get up to speed. And we're desperately short of goals, after those to good chances in the first half we created nothing at all. Tobers looked solid though.

I quite like it over here. Quite nice not having Temu trying to sell me socket sets every second post.

Weirdly, I saw season 2 before season 1, so I still have a lot of time for it. But as you say, some of it is, shall we say, less than optimal.

All truth part from podcasts, which shouldn't be made by men OR women. Never listened to a single one. Never will.

I've learned something today - had no idea Perry Farrell was a pun. I've even been saying it out loud. Thank you Wikipedia.
A.R.Kane though.

Ach, there's more eyes on it now than there's ever been, so it's no bad thing. Littler's being hyped for a reason too - he's playing a different sport to everyone else. As I say though, it'll get boring quick unless he goes wildly off the rails on ching or something.

Nothing against the boy but it's going to become a tedious sport real quick if he moligates MVG tonight. He'll be untouchable for twenty years.

If we get beat today there's a decent argument we're the worst team in the league.

Haha, I've been out of the game for 25 years. There wasn't even internet, never mind fuckwit partisan telly shitshows.

Oh, it's absolutely true. There are surprisingly few right wing zealots working in the business in my experience. I'm going back a bit now but most people I worked with just needed a job. There was only one who's still at the Mail actually believed the pish they were writing.

Those with the luxury of choosing between morals and paying the mortgage are minted already, unfortunately. Just about everyone I knew was just seeking to earn a crust.

I lived that dream. Gave it seven years and that was plenty. However, I still have respect for those that continue to pursue it. Horrible job, mostly. Most I know still in the game don't agree with the shite they're expected to produce.

I'm not going to get into a row here but this is slightly naive about how newspapers work. A working hack has very-little-to-no say in the politics of the paper they work for. Most papers are right wing at the behest of their owners. If you want a career, this is your lot, sadly.
comment in response to

Not a pop at you in particular, but it's a distinctive Trumpian/right wing zoomer trope that seeks to delegitimise anyone who doesn't just nod through their bullshit. The Tele is as mad as a bag of badgers but the people working for it have at least done some training.

While I very much agree with the sentiment, this is my regular warning that anyone who places the word journalist in quote marks is for the watching.

Quite enjoyed that entitled twat Ted Ferguson having his face pulled out of his arsehole in socialist horror belter Society too.

Actually thought he didn't do a lot wrong in the first half (without actually looking like scoring of course). Second half, nae so much.

Suspect that doing off the Green Huns in the League Cup has done more damage than initially feared. Absolute lack of confidence at the mo. Early season, we'd play ourselves out of bother with no fear. Now, we're just lumping the ball up the park. Doesn't work.
