Greed, bullying, obsessively cruelty to the most vulnerable, initiated & abetted by cowards. This is not The United States of America.

$26 per 1,000 lbs

Alejandra shows us an orange she just harvested in Kern County. She tells us: we are paid by what we pick . The below box we fill weighs around 1,000 lbs. We are paid $26 per box. #WeFeedYou

Maybe I went to a farm and sniffed up some avian flu in my sneaky cat nose. How would you even know? Not like they’re tracking that stuff for farm workers, who are literally such important people for us all

Reporter @owillis.bsky.social saw a too-perfect quote from a Black voter -- ID'd as an AI worker -- in an NYT quoteboard. So he did checked -- and voila, turns out the guy is a flak for Houston Young Republicans. NYT stealth-edited the guy's bio the next day. www.dailykos.com/stories/2025...

Elon is now posting that Social Security "might be the biggest fraud in human history." Statements describing SS as a Ponzi scheme have long present in some parts of the right (www.cbsnews.com/news/rick-pe...), tho typically one of most effective Dem attacks. Now formal part of MAGA mantra?

The Byline of the Washington Post is “Democracy Dies in Darkness.” They have now moved to the dark side. First, when Bezos blocked the Post’s endorsement of Harris/Walz. Now they will not run an anti-Musk ad. We are watching one of our nation’s top papers die. www.rawstory.com/washington-p...

This is how @democrats.org will lose even more voters. FFS, get your shit together, Dems! Stop trying to be Republican-lite. It's a BAD LOOK.

Not even six hours apart.

Folks, Elon's taking over air traffic control

This week, the Washington Post backed out of a “Fire Elon Musk” advertising order that was to run as a wrap on some of its Tuesday editions, according to the advocacy group Common Cause.  The group said it signed a $115,000 agreement.

More Tesla showroom protests planned for this weekend

Daily Reminder: Social Security is OUR money, an EARNED benefit!

Dem leadership still isn't quite understanding that if it doesn't stand up more fiercely now, there won't be any midterms to win.

Congratulations to everyone who hedged on Elon's Nazi salute. Now he's tweeting 14 flags at 14:14, but I'm sure it's an accident. Can't wait for the Very Serious People to tell us there's no way to know what's in his heart when he starts screaming Heil Hitler next week.

The New York scandal - the administration is ordering the dropping of criminal charges against the mayor but threatening to reinstate them if he doesn’t help with deportations - isn’t getting much attention here Makes VP Vance’s lecture on ‘shared values longer held by Europe’ even more staggering

What in the world? How is any of this ok? And, we are going to keep beating this drum - where is the sense of urgency from Congressional Democratic Leadership in DC?

President Trump's Department of Defense has halted PLAs on construction projects = fewer union construction jobs: www.constructiondive.com/news/dod-pla...

Thing you can ignore: Gulf of Mexico name change Thing to worry about: A coup Thing you can ignore: Who runs the Kennedy Center Thing to worry about: A coup Thing you can ignore: Sean Duffy Real World clips Thing to really, really, REALLY wory about: THE F**KING COUP TAKING PLACE!

People poisoned their own children at Jonestown. This is how cults work.

Also, it seems like our kids are so much better than us by far. As long as we get our shit together and leave behind a livable world, they really are going to be all right.

Today, the @sandiegocounty.bsky.social took up a consideration of whether to support the so-called, “Protection of Women and Girls in Sports Act.” When I asked my 15yo daughter about this, she gave me her thoughts to share with the County Board of Supervisors: 1/

barely a stretch to blame this on Trump. he's royally fucked up the CDC response to the bird flu outbreak causing the egg shortage

Every one of these guys thinks they’re Oppenheimer mixed with Andrew Carnegie and they own something called SplortDotCom that got bought by Boozoo

the OTHER thing about the white house’s anti-diversity push is that like old fashioned segregation it is explicitly an effort to undermine unions! like c’mon! don’t be stupid!

having border patrol raid school busses to terrorize children is far more harmful to your kids than a trans teenager in palo alto playing water polo

I sincerely don’t know why people aren’t physically stopping those dorks. Move shit. Lock doors. Lose the keys. Everyone switch seats. Turn off all the lights. Switch the signs on the elevator lobby. Make the settings all silly. Use a different language. Wear costumes. Fill rooms with balloons

Here's what I know about America: When I was a kid, I thought when someone did something illegal, you could just call the cops and they'd be arrested. But when I got older, I learned that only applied to the middle class and below. When billionaires blatantly break laws, no one does anything.

Let's be clear. Trump didn't nominate Musk for any position subject to Sen confirmation. So this is an unconstitutional seizure of power from Musk. RIGHT NOW CALL your members (especially all Sen Dems) and ask them to deny UCs and grind the Sen to a halt until this madness stops. ☎️ (202) 224-3121

I wrote more about that very odd lie last week. It was almost funny - the WH had a background explanation that did technically make sense (the funds were for a group that did fund family planning, albeit not in Gaza) but then Trump just started saying it was literally $50m for Hamas.

No one cares about your bipartisanship. They care about doing what's needed. And Dems absolutely fail on that front.

Senator, DO BETTER. If you're going to be minority leader, then for the nation's sake, PLEASE LEAD.

Still thinking about this finding today. These guys live in a fantasy world of their own making. laurenmgoldstein.substack.com/p/in-our-bac...

Sorry, but when the President undertakes a multitude of unconstitutional actions, every member of Congress has a duty to say "no, the President cannot do any of those things." The failure to do so isn't just bad strategy, it's acquiescence to the unconstitutional actions.

These guys are my age and I can't put into words how embarrassing it is for any man in his 40s to try to reclaim the edginess of his youth by gleefully bringing back the slurs of his high school years. Grow up already. It's long past time to stop being a man-child.

Is he.. Talking about the rain?

Deny unanimous consent for every single thing in the Senate. Care more about slowing down the fascism and drawing a clear, consistent contrast with the fascists than catching your DCA flight home

Giant banks like JPMorgan and Wells Fargo hiked the cost of loans to make a bigger profit. After pressure, they pledged in front of Congress that they'd pass on higher savings rates to their customers. Senator Reed and I called on these CEOs to keep their word.

Has Trump lowered the price of groceries? No. Instead, he's focused on renaming the Gulf of Mexico. Today, my colleagues and I gave him a list of things he could do right now to start to lower the prices of eggs.
