Yeah everyone needs to vote. Young people actually believe Poilievre will fix the housing market so they can afford houses again. they put out a video called “housing hell” and conveniently left out the bit that house prices went up like 60% when he was with the Harper government. Oopsie.

Was this the last episode for season 1? It’s so good I’m elated it actually got a second season!

Food inflation sucked, but real estate speculators sending housing costs to the moon didn’t help. Anyone I know who attempted to buy kept being outbid massively by people collecting investment properties when rates were near zero.

It’s horrible for them. Especially those on disability, elderly people who rent, single mothers or fathers.
Frustrating now when even higher income people are impacted by the housing bubble things still aren’t treated like the absolute crisis it’s been for many years for poorer Canadians.

Are there condo tower buildings in Vancouver with “poor doors”? I’ve heard of them before just not in Canada.
Those tall buildings can be really expensive to maintain too.

People angry during the pandemic were a shrieking minority. Housing crisis that was rapidly spreading out of some cities to far off parts of the country in my opinion helped Poilievre pick up huge momentum.
This was all before sovereignty threats from the US, and us needing an adult in the room.

Canada, We have a horrible housing crisis with availability of long term rental homes locals can afford.
BC Government changed a bunch of rules around Airbnb and hosts aren’t happy, but it already seems to be helping a bit. Starting to notice more put up for long term rent.

Carney is more likely to give us what we want. Enough Canadians wanted to “axe the tax” and it got the cut despite being well designed.
We’d need enough homeowners saying they want first time buyers having real opportunity to buy a family home that can be paid off over seeing their equity rise.

As it stands, neither.
Affordable housing would have to be the popular demanded choice. Crowds chanting “Axe the tax” worked to retire the carbon tax. Could you imagine if people were as angry about housing issues spreading across Canada, demanding homes in their communities be affordable again?

Yeah that feels way too lax.
Trudeau’s kids gotta be relieved at this point that their dad is no longer the PM with crowds of ppl w f-Trudeau flags screaming at him while he goes anywhere.

Im not even a TV person and I want a season two dang it. I only know about this show because I caught a commercial for it when watching TV show with my better half. I guess that’s the issue creating TV that appeals to people who normally don’t watch TV- we normally don’t know about it.

Didn’t disappoint! It’s been a long time since I’ve gotten hooked on a show. Nobody else I know is watching this one, so I have nobody to discuss it with, and don’t want to spoil it for others who haven’t seen it! But it’s SO GOOD.

Secure actual family friendly housing is out of reach. Why have kids?
I’d want a child to not have to move repeatedly switching schools, losing friends. or not have to be quiet in a condo instead have a backyard to run in, basement to build projects & bring friends to hang out, Like we had as kids

Of course they don’t add up. Plus far too many Canadians think his threats of making us the 51st state are a joke.

Yup. Look at how musk’s child talked to trump and trump didn’t say anything back. I’m sure buying Twitter alone gave musk access to enough private correspondence through trump and his teams dms he has more than enough to blackmail them into compliance

After the repeated 51st state threats, We’ve become pretty united in Canada avoiding the purchase of American products. I’m sorry he’s your president, I fear for us all he’s just getting started.
