Retired grumpy old git. Love rugby and golf. Followed Spurs for over 60 years which probably explains premature aging. Listening to folk and blues is a great escape. Hate grifters, bullies, chancers and liars.

Don't think this will work. Most likely just drive up rents. But council tax needs major overhaul. Massive regional variations. London has high property values & incomes with low council tax, rural areas with much lower property values & incomes have high council tax

The issue is that TW is burdened with debt. Not sure public ownership will solve this. The cost to taxpayers could be huge. It needs a major financial reconstruction with some form of UKplc control. Debt will have to become equity giving the holders a long term exit option.

Given the age profile of NT I would say 1.6% is a low number. And in times of economic hardship people are making choices on where to spend money which must be impacting membership numbers

Given Trump will probably have annexed a load of countries by then they might struggle to reach 64. Maybe just let USA play Russia for the title

In my household we are boycotting all things US. Food and drink etc. Holidays , we have family in the US. And Morrisons as it is owned by US private equity. We look carefully now at source and ownership.

It gets better over the years. We were lucky only bass guitar and acoustic. But we did get the early band rehearsals in the garage before they moved to the studio🎤🎸🥁🎹🎛

Spent 30+ years in regulated financial services right back to IMRO & LAUTRO. There are great intentions, but sadly these intentions are not always matched by good and sound regulation. And policing a massive industry is challenging. Regulators themselves vary between excellent and poor

Martin moving money out of your drawdown and into ISA is a no brainer if you are a BR taxpayer. if you use the same ISA provider an ISA can pass to spouse on death as a special ISA exemption without tax. Then the receiving spouse can drawdown tax free (IT & CGT) PS Great show but slowdown.

Once again the government seems to have forgotten the South West is actually a part of the country. Our hospitals are on their knees, schools are falling down, fishing and agriculture are in decline and tourism and hospitality are struggling. It would be nice to get some recognition

Given where we have been, some guys running on empty and the total lack of experience on the bench it's a great result. Despite all our troubles still going in all 3 cups. Once players start returning from injury we should look forward to improved results. COYS

There seems to be a l9t of Ms Trusses. Surely they did not all crash the economy. Maybe we need an ID parade to identify the one that actually crashed the economy.

With a salary you never see the gross pay in your bank. You become conditioned to it. When you suddenly have to pay HMRC as self employed it really hits you. Must make my payment soon.

So the fault is not Brexit itself, but the people who campaigned for it. No shit Sherlock that was obvious 9 years ago. I guess small steps. But a long way from admitting Brexit was always going to be a car crash and actually saying or doing anything to recover the situation.

They are talking about Spanish holiday homes bought by non EU citizens e.g. Brits not Spanish and Germans. A similar scheme here would yield little as our holiday homes are mostly owned by UK citizens. And most Spanish holiday homes are owned by Spaniards
