Not necessarily, if a boy grows up with male figures who beat women, drink, or run from accountability they can very easily become a negative influence.

It sucks to lose but, in no way was this season a disappointment.

I’m in my mid-20’s and I’ve consistently had the same dream since 10th grade.

Well you’re certainly kissing up to them. You’re spreading the propaganda of the rich and serving your role.

Those past generations got us the 40 hour work week and workers rights. If it weren’t for them “bashing that wall” we’d likely still be working for pennies and losing our limbs in the factories.

It wasn’t “most” at all. You were just sold on a fake dream about how you might be one of them someday. It’s only because of collective action we don’t have company towns and children dying in the mines anymore. And plenty of billionaires want to bring that back.

My whole argument is about “systemic change” because without it we’ll never escape the rat race. Things will only improve if we all work together to push back on the bourgeoise. Being individualistic and making it only about yourself is what they want.
comment in response to post
Not really, we live in a society dependent on a large struggling population so that the wealthy few can profit from our labor. The only way that will truly change for all of us is if we take the wealth back.
comment in response to post
We eat the rich then.
comment in response to post
Except the “better” never comes because those jobs don’t exist. Or they have ridiculous experience requirements that no young person would have. You treat it as a pride thing when it’s a systemic issue. It’s just easier to blame the people.
comment in response to post
So while most of us deserve to work constantly to scrape by and still not get what we want we’re supposed to ignore the people who hoard all the wealth?
comment in response to post
Yes it is true and, it goes well beyond just an effort issue. The country didn’t just magically lose its sense of self determination in the 70’s. Things just don’t work like they used to
comment in response to post
And it’s only becoming more difficult with fewer of those jobs to go around and lower pay.

You can’t afford a studio apartment in any US county of minimum wage anymore.
comment in response to post
Except the system has been broken and you have a ton of people who can’t get above minimum wage pay anymore. Or rising costs devalue the pay they were receiving
comment in response to post
Sure but, I don’t think most people are advocating for that. Rather the guy flipping burgers deserves to still afford a 1 bedroom apartment at least.

I agree, it’s not solely a gendered issue. I think it turns into one because men are more likely to act out and not have the same support systems women do. Third spaces that don’t require payment would be a massive step.

Male loneliness is definitely an ongoing issue but, yeah there are definitely way too many guys that take it as “I should get a state mandated girlfriend”
comment in response to post
Glad to see he was able to take a break without the team imploding.
comment in response to post
Yeah I’d agree with that, the issue I’ve taken with people on this subject is when they just try and avoid all gendered practices. Things like not even giving them a name until they choose one
comment in response to post
I’m more than fine with specific behaviors and clothes not having rigid gendered lines. I just personally wouldn’t go as far as raising my kid as “a-gender” per se.
comment in response to post
That wasn’t because they didn’t have identified genders from birth. It’s because dresses didn’t used to be considered gendered clothing for younger kids.

And many black people are poor, poverty increases crime statistics. Funny how that works

No they weren’t, sorry to limit your access to alt-right content.
comment in response to post
1: Sure they are. 2: The best “proof” you have is mild censorship around harassing people or not being able to say various slurs. Twitter has devolved into “black people go ooga booga” memes and alt-right content.

Except now it’s a lot more biased because who gets shadow banned is completely up to Elon’s discretion. Seems like you ran when you couldn’t say the N word on Twitter

I don’t hold prejudice against all conservatives as many are fine people. If you want context, I have a distaste for the MAGA crowd because many of them hold beliefs I find very distasteful. I’ve also been told plenty I better “count my days” left in this country despite being a native-born citizen.
comment in response to post
True but, I still add the caviot that if someone were being disingenuous they could use that argument to avoid ever actually having to stand on their opinion. And as far as that goes, fetus= parasite isn’t my belief. I believe abortion should be legal because everyone gets to make their own choice
