ICYMI, trying to set policy back 100 years in one blow is not conservative.

Pastor Eduardo and his family have reached their goal. Thank you all for your support and kindness as their lives were upended by the recent immigration policy changes. gofund.me/8f3c2617

Whatever you think of our immigration policies, it is not right to use prisoners for propaganda purposes. It is de-humanizing, more so if they were not given due process under the law. This is meant to provoke fear, widely applied (cf. POTUS's tweet re. Tesla arsonists). Also: we are not at war.

Per NPR, Canada warned its citizens that if they visit the U.S. longer than 30 days, they must be registered with the US Govt or risk penalties. Many of these are snowbirds who own homes in places like AZ, are great neighbors, and contribute to the local economies.

Is Canada charging the US 400% on dairy imports? Nope. www.cbc.ca/news/politic...

We take prayer requests at the beginning of every evening service. The 1st was a request from a covenant child regarding a loose tooth. The 2nd was a chipped tooth, the 3rd and 4th were upcoming oral surgeries.

Every single one of my books except Shadow Sun is on Library Genesis, and I’m sure someone will post it soon. Guys, I can’t afford to fix my car. We run to end of the paycheck every month. My laptop is almost 20 years old. When you “download my books” you are stealing them. You are stealing them—

I think a lot about the verse that says "Hey if you have two coats, and you know someone doesn't have any coats? You should give them one of your coats." You cannot take the Bible seriously and be morally okay with the existence of billionaires.

Another animated map from the series "the world, in many ways, is actually getting better": Europe today is more densely forested than it was 100+ years ago.

This is why Global Church history matters.

Elon Musk says that no one has died because he slashed humanitarian aid. I went to South Sudan to check if that's true. It's not. Meet Peter, Achol and Evan, ages 10, 8 and 5. The reckless actions of the world's richest men are killing the world's poorest kids www.nytimes.com/interactive/...

I take this personally. My dad volunteered while imprisoned at Heart Mountain. He believed in a united front against facism. He was the only one of his squad to survive the war. The 100th was feted in deep red Texas by survivors of the Lost Battalion rescue, a heroic story now buried as “woke DEI”

The richest man in the world took over $5K out of this guy's bank account, claiming he was dead. The richest man in the world said he was saving money. He was not dead.

“If the federal government can disappear a legal US permanent resident without reason or warrant, then they can disappear US citizens too.” newrepublic.com/post/192558/...

Enforced disappearance is 1) detention; 2) by gov/with gov participation; 3) followed by refusal to admit detention or withholding info re fate/whereabouts of individual, placing them outside the protection of the law. My article on this as migration policy here: journals.sagepub.com/doi/10.1177/...

One piece of wisdom I am grateful to have absorbed is "If I can think of a solution in three seconds, the person with the problem already tried it"

The role of the parent is not to teach their children how to love the parent rightly. It’s to teach their children that they are loved. This is a theological statement.
