I share your heartfelt prayers. But it's not about President Biden's "weakness". It's about how people around Pres. Biden, including VP Harris, allowed a man not fit to serve, to serve as President. That was an assault on the Constitution that needs to be investigated and prosecuted.

Thanks! I will note this source doesn't mention a Tesla at all. "the department has reviewed video but has not yet determined the type of vehicle in which the fire began."
comment in response to post
Who are those sources, please, as you said, you can't make this up.

"There's only so much people can do without resorting to toppling the government itself." Excellent. You don't defeat fascism by saying bad things about it, or by working with it, or by normalizing it. And in the case of the U.S., we peacefully handed the power over.

Thank you. However, I'm not considering the "apathetic" "Average Joe". I'm asking, why all the non-apathetic people, the millions of them, who recognized the current administration as fascist, why did they allow them to take control? Why didn't they stop them?
comment in response to post
That's a reason for people to vote for fascism. I'm asking the people who are not fascists, why were the fascists ever allowed to enter office and take control?
comment in response to post
Well, there you go. However, if that is the case, elections aren't the solution.
comment in response to post
And, it's quite likely, there are people who "elect Trump and others" for reasons other than the two you listed.

Were Nazis in WWII defeated by protests? Why are we letting these Nazis and fascists get into office in the first place?

Same Jeffries that lied to America about Pres. Biden being fit to carry out the duties of the President. A Pres. Biden who clearly was not fit, whether one agreed with his policies or not. www.mediaite.com/tv/hakeem-je...

Imagine if we hadn't peacefully transferred power to a dictatorship.

I can believe there are millions of people who struggle with empathy.
comment in response to post
well, when I see a quote, I foolishly still think it's a quote, not "pretty close." Plus the "empathy" statement requires context. But I appreciate your clarification. More information always helps me understand other points of view.

Nice quotes! Would be better if he actually said either quote.

It's a shame the millionaires and billionaires in both major political parties, including hers, aren't interested in any of that.

Remind me again why we peacefully transferred power to Nazis.

Can you give some examples of "coming at them hard", so I know I am doing this correctly.

But Elon is bad, that's the only truth that matters.

No. I care about politics. But I don't allow politics to separate me from others. And I don't make politics more important than it should be.

Also, this disease has NOT been eradicated. It it was eliminated in the United States, which is NOT the same.

Always a good look to mock someone's legitimate medical issue. An issue he contracted he picked up while working as an environmental advocate around the world. www.iowapublicradio.org/news-from-np...

Right. Never a good reason to lie. But the reply doesn't have to be a political rant. Go, or don't go. In this case, where hypothetically I'm not close to the couple, I'm not sure why I would go. Close, or not, I don't care about their politics.
comment in response to post
I'm not clear on the "who it is" part, if I have no or little relationship with the people getting married. I'm not close, or not not close, with people, based upon their politics. And I don't go to weddings based upon "who it is". The MAGA part of this hypothetical, is irrelevant.

Travel to America obviously requires the proper visa, which, the father admits might be the real issue here, both for what happened in Canada and the U.S. What would be helpful is if, in cases like this, the U.S. could help the visitor get the proper visa, when it appears to be a mistake.
comment in response to post
My biggest issue is the description of the detainment conditions. The detainment, and Canada refusing entry, tells me that there is a visa issue that, in the past, might not have been issue, but now, both Canada and the U.S. are taking visas more seriously.

In terms of "beating this", are there are resources in your area that help people struggling to pay their rent, to pay their rent? Has this already gone to court, and has a final decision been entered yet regarding the eviction?

A reporter should ask about that during a White House press conference, just to enjoy the meltdown that occurs afterwards.

The time to "meet the moment" has passed. You don't peacefully transfer power to a "Nazi" and then resist him for four years.

This parody looks compelling, good luck with it.

If that had any shame, they would have voted for Biden. Oh, wait, they couldn't. I mean, they would have voted for Kennedy. Oh, dag, they couldn't do that either.

Rubio's anger towards Zelensky is palpable.

Indeed, you can't defeat the Nazis we peacefully transferred power to, with a smile.

What necessary means will you use to remove them from office?

What necessary means will you use to stop them?
comment in response to post
Sounds bold. Would have been a better strategy before power was peacefully transferred to them.
comment in response to post
If only we knew how to stop Nazis from taking power, we could have prevented this horror from happening.

Then why didn't you prevent the peaceful transfer of power to Trump?
comment in response to post
Harris did not lose because she was not white. She lost because was not a very good candidate, which, until Biden was forced to drop out, her own party recognized. Trump could have been beaten, but not by her.
