Toddler crushed raspberries into the rug. Took me longer than I’d like to admit to find the spot when I came back to clean it later that night. I know it’s there, but damned if I can find it.

Frankly with children and dogs I no longer remember what else a rug is for. We now buy them with crazy patterns that hide the stains. It’s changed the game.

I’d say there’s a few best practices a laymen or folks can take away to be better at it. Start on Google scholar, find newer, heavily cited sources from reputable journals (Q1), check who’s writing it and how it was funded, then read the takeaways. This and leaning toward meta analysis works well.

The times I’ve been told do my own research by family or friends when I literally have an MS doing research… But I digress Mom, tell me why RFK is gonna make everything better.
