Same with the e-bike - sometimes you just need the gearing to make shifting stuff reasonable or sometimes you need the power assist (in which case I'd "borrow" Amber's bike).
Obviously your could hire or borrow a bike for those occasions.

My opinion: no? I think this is the reason I've still got a flat bar hybrid bike in the loft - I'll use my road/gravel bikes for pretty much any day to day riding but if I need to move stuff, cycle camping with large kit, then the three chainrings with 26 front and 34 rear are built to shift heavy.
