Two to two and a half hours. I start getting anxious about missing it five hours beforehand, though.

It is funny how well it works. Truly no right winger could ever hate leftists more than leftists hate other leftists who only agree with them on 99.9% of political issues.

TBF, far fewer of them would have gotten through if the Senate Dems had actually tried to stop them, y'know, a little bit. Instead, they said "if we fast track the kinda bad ones, the Republicans will magically become bipartisan about rejecting the really bad ones!"

The memo is just detailed instructions on how to file the paperwork to form a committee.

Literally the first thing the programmer humor subreddit said was "bet those are all people who died before collecting SS and thus never needed a 'dead' maker." Lo-and-behold...

Great Danes are the best comparison for most people, unless you're regularly around Irish wolfhounds. Wolfhounds are probably the best approximation in terms of height and weight.

The media has this weird habit of providing a megaphone for Trump's lies. He's got basically as much of a "mandate" as Biden did in 2020, yet the media is treating it as if he doubled Kamala's popular vote and controls 90% of the house and of the senate.

You have the opportunity to make an incredibly funny response to Nancy Mace, but I can guarantee she will not like it.

We bore the brunt of his policies last time (particularly during covid) and overall were the only generation to not overwhelmingly forget about his first term over the last four years. Most of us were better off in 2016 than 2020. Hell, even 2019.

Dave, you don't understand the brilliant 4D chess- if the dems vote for all of Trump's nominees now, when he eventually develops a robust sense of cognitive dissonance overnight, he's gonna start to feel *really bad* about throwing them all in prison.

If you grew up around conservative Christians, it's disturbingly similar to their doomsday cults. Both think the world isn't worth saving, both constantly predict what will be the true "end time", both believe they'll be the ones left to build their utopia after it's all over.

What I've noticed about a lot of "progressives" is that they hope for disaster, believing it will result in a chance to reshape society into a utopia (usually with *them* being the ultimate leader). Not much room for acknowledging the good in people when you hope the majority of them perish.

Without em dashes how am I supposed to communicate to the reader that I am incapable of having a cohesive thought without being interrupted by a related— at least enough to make parenthesis inappropriate— thought?

I love her insinuation that anyone decided to skip the performance by a recent Grammy winning artist because they were just so engrossed they couldn't miss a moment of what might be one of the worst football games ever played.

This is actually infuriating coming from the "we only sue in a single area of Texas so our judge who oversees an area of like 20 people can make country-wide decisions" party.

Trump's also not going to name a successor for 2028 before Republicans have even tried to negate the 22nd amendment.

Is it political theatre, or is it a deliberate attempt to sow mistrust in the one branch of government willing to stand up to the regime so they can eventually justify ignoring it altogether?

Pretty sure Trump won't be in jail, because he's likely to have passed away from heart disease by then.

If he posted it when he was a dumb kid... he's still a dumb kid.

Hell, I'd argue most TikToks over 15 seconds long aren't worth watching. But you gotta hit at least a minute for that sweet sweet ad money.

I have a conspiracy theory that he constantly degrades chess because he could never beat Peter Thiel at it (Thiel is apparently a, like, competition level chess player), and so he has to convince the world it's worthless to be good at rather than admit he's bad at something.

Podcasts. But not audiobook style podcasts. Not anthropecene reviewed style podcasts either. Something akin to The Basement Yard where it's just some bullshitting around.

I'm hopeful this is in reference to, like, Burnie being unable to make something he wanted to produce because of corporate interference, and he'll do more experimental projects like Lazer Team... But the company literally never had a good work culture. Not sure they avoid the same pitfalls.

I had barely heard of Crockett prior to this administration, but she has quickly shown herself to be one of the best Congresspeople we have. Unfortunately I expect this means the dems will attempt to primary her with an ineffectual centrist.

Honestly I'm surprised it took Bailey this long. Dude's always been a cudgel on behalf of Trump, despite not even being considered for national AG.

They also very clearly don't understand that they are the fall guys- if this all goes south for Musk, he pays his way out of trouble, and they're left holding the bag.

Idk, they looked pretty dumb before too.

You know that if you give someone keys to your house and then they give that key to someone else and take your shit, it's still stealing, right?

Not even just personal data. Like when it comes to PPI, basically the only thing on par he could have taken is a full, detailed medical history. Like this is the most catastrophic data breach of all time. There is no more data privacy in the US, nor identity protection.

Wasn't Musk about to require a month of Twitter Blue to sign up too? To "combat bots" as he says? How long until a state AG sues this guy into poverty

The implication is that Trump has said we need tariffs to "make America great again", but it's very clear either him or his staff don't actually want to institute 25% tariffs (and crash the economy). So Trump will come out and declare America is great Monday and there's no need for tariffs.

So Trump has deported 3650 non-criminal undocumented immigrants, while Biden had deported around 4200. This is definitely a good indictment of Trump.

Yeah man I don't know how to tell you this, but if you believe they won't just label any pro-palestinian protest "terroristic threats" then you haven't been paying attention to the Trump Administration.

I distinctly remember, years ago, a woman suing Mizzou over affirmative action, because she claimed they rejected her due to racial quotas. Upon investigation, it was found she didn't have the (extremely low) minimum scores to get into Mizzou. I assume everyone who complains is in the same boat.

Especially because it's not clear he actually hast the power to offer it. There's a non-zero chance it somehow goes to court and a judge rules they'll get no money but their resignation stands.

The issue is that Democrats play by non-existant rules they made up, meanwhile Republicans refuse to play by the rules outlined in the actual constitution.

Like many things, it was a test of the system. Guarantee they were looking for resistance, but didn't expect it from staff and teachers. But it's also to get people to say "that's awful they shouldn't arrest them in school, they should arrest them at home instead."

I love this tool because of how often just repackages things I've already done and slaps a shitty AI image on it. It's like "yes Mr. Google, I am sure you're right that my audience would like my most popular video. Very good use of AI."

Counterpoint- Morrowind is definitely not an action game, whereas Skyrim is (Oblivion sits somewhere in the middle), and no one would argue that Skyrim has lost sales compared to the comparatively niche Morrowind.

No one is scared of him. But this country does one thing with Nazis, and we should do the same with billionaire Nazis.

Remember when they advertised "Make America Nazi Free Again" as a tagline for the second reboot game and MAGA conservatives got mad?
