I feel duty-bound to remind people that Tesla's Fremont production site is on Ro Khanna's district. His opinions on anything Musk are worse than worthless.

Well in this administration zero because they'd rather kids starve.

NASA's rocket (SLS) costs $2 billion to launch because Congress turned it into a pork project. We really screwed ourselves on this one.

Sorry, that's a good point I should have been more specific.
Yes, specifically that scenario involving a US Citizen at a border entry being questioned by CBP.

Thanks for the response. I have read the ACLU page but I guess my main question is that, if I say I won't speak without a lawyer and I don't already have one (or one that specializes in this area) what happens then?
comment in response to

I have a question... If you don't already have a lawyer lined up for this scenario, what's the best way to go about this?

Look, a podcaster Pope wouldn't be the first Pope with brain rot but it's just not something the world can handle right now.
comment in response to

You can't be a podcaster, a judge and a Pope, Robert. No man can have that much power.

Ah, I didn't realize it was just ICU.
That's wild that some states don't have mandatory breaks?!

I am curious what th surveys are for places like CA that have mandated nurse to patient ratios.

I will say, as someone who works on rare diseases, I'm scared of what's going to happen. If this admin decides that people with rare diseases aren't worth the incentives or reimbursements then it's kind of over... We've helped patients come to the US for compassionate use so there's that too...
comment in response to

It would take a lot to get to that point. The US is too big and top profitable of a market to avoid.

So are they going to make every pharma company do a new trial every time there is an manufacturing ingredient change? Just going to throw cGMPs right out the window?

I saw a lot of redesigned Teslas or ones with temp plates on 80 when I was in the Bay back in March. It was really disappointing.

I don't want to hear anymore about who we could replace Schumer with. Van Hollen should be at or near the top of the list.

What percentage increase can be gotten by actually being somewhat selective on what movies/shows you make and giving series time to breathe rather than cancelling them if they don't meet secret metrics in their first month?

1.) This Supreme Court?
2.) How, since the judicial branch has no manpower to back up its power?
3.) Seeing 2, what would that do exactly?

Put another way, these idiots can't even cut a deal with Japan. Japan would have been on my "almost certainly would made a trade deal" column with the US.

If you ever needed any more evidence that Trump's persona as a businessman is an outright fraud, here it is.
Businesses cannot operate under these conditions where things change daily.

So we decided to take the social credit idea from China and run with it huh? We couldn't have taken ideas like some of the incredible and rapid infrastructure and transit build outs that they do?

To be honest, any "modest" positive gains today probably came from Trump followers buying after he told them it was a good time to buy.

The problem when writing this article like an hour after the markets open is that things change pretty fast. Like, now, it's pretty clear the markets are whipsawing again, we have no idea where this will be at the end of the day.

As a someone who used to do QC testing, please don't just throw out there that expiries are off by a decade. Yes, many drugs retain their potency past their expiry but it's dependent on the type of drug, etc. In an ideal world you aren't going to do indefinite testing since you expect it to be used.

There is nothing that prevents a company from launching a product this month. Some companies may opt to delay launches as they assess the impact of tariffs on their supply chains but that is their own decision.

Today, one of the speakers in Seattle was talking about committing to change past 2028 and voting for actual progressive politicians, at a local level, that will actually follow through with their promises and a small group of people were jeering and yelling "talk about Trump". It was frustrating.
