Issue tamper-proof stickers to bike shops for them to sell and fit to safe e-bikes. Easy for TfL staff to check then

The 1024ˣ thing made sense when talking about small amounts of RAM on computers with limited address busses. For mass storage 1000ˣ is better because it's consistent with other units of measurement. The number of address bits needed is irrelevant

They are often doing filming and other events, so maybe they are happy with it informally but want to be able to close the route whenever they like

The lifts at Paddington are particularly bad because they serve 3 levels: longer to arrive, longer to exchange passengers and they get clogged when people get on in the wrong direction. St Pancras Thameslink lift is awful for the same reason

Even better: an app that pedestrians can use to play a sound of their choice inside nearby vehicles to warn drivers of their presence

I dunno, when I tout the film it's because of the soundtrack, not the plot. Best Disney soundtrack out there

The only BBC station where you can enjoy music without having the perpetually bleak news rammed at you every 30 minutes, at certain times of day say least

The difference is cars. European tourist destinations have beautiful pedestrianised squares with bars and cafes. British towns are mostly choked with cars - moving and parked

Probably more pollution for a journey on a congested road than an uncongested road. But congestion discourages some from driving at all so reducing congestion by increasing capacity (which is what congestion=pollution arguements are used for) probably doesn't improve pollution

It seems unusual for the Swiss rail timetable to be so generous

The waiting sensors are bollocks. Step back while you wait to avoid getting splashed, poisoned or run over? Nope, you'll have to start the timer all over again

Nah, the problem can be resolved by simply not making pedestrians wait a minute or more before letting them cross like some kind of punishment for existing

The constabularly example you show seems quite good to me, and I think it would have worked better in the Caversham case
