Pretty much the US democrat playbook, appeal to the mythical "swing right", assume the left will automatically vote for you, dont upset any donors.

Tbh reddits appalling for just having bad takes, it's what happens when folk who've not made games outnumber those who have 100:1.

I see you've also used geometry nodes.

Fairly sure the toilet gif is the Rosetta stone if game art

For procedural stuff I enjoy being able to just write scripts in houdini for the location of every single UV vertex.
That would obviously be an insane thing to do for a hand UVd model though and god why cant rizon/maya/blender copy each others homework and do it well.

Aye, my guess is their takeaway will be that ' well reforms nastier so we'll outflank them" rather than realising that reform is doing a whole bunch of or to seem relatable and then dressing their bile as "solutions" to make people's lives better. Whilst labour seems uninterested in doing so.

Did not have a Dr.Who X Bravley Second crossover on my bingo card for 2025 but here we are.

It's criminal that blender insists on mix over lerp.

I assume this needs a remesh or fairly even Geo density? Or have you found a way around that?

Tbh it's unique and interesting enough that even if it ages weirdly it'll still stand out. Been a long time since I've seen AAA be just so visually bold

It's very boomer to assume 35 years out from retirement means someone who isn't 40.
Like sir I know you retired at 50 but I'll be slaving away in the Amazon metaverse warehouse till im 120

"orchard pudding" should just be a jailable offence.
Also hilarious that the rational is "I spend money here so I'm a net positive for the economy, no I don't wanna pay tax uwu" is laughable.

Very emblematic of the techbro mindset. Doesn't matter about how sound it is, use complex sounding language and a few greek letters and suddenly mororns in charge think it's galaxy brain shit.

Yeah the style of 2 puts me off, but tbh I've got a soft spot for second, sure it's clunkybat times but it takes risks (lmao catmancy) and that final fight is SUPERB

yeah but once you get through that "huh ok" bit the payoff is so good. Still the gold standard of a "classic" JRPG in the modern era IMO.

simply houdini gives you data and then its up to you how to work with it; whilst blender is focused on having you only play with its preset nodes.
the absence of a python node feels emblematic of this; blender wants you to use its lego blocks, whilst houdini wants you to write your own.

houdini exposes data trivially. if you get a point you get every associated bit of info with that point.
Whilst blender likes to keep it in its sandbox: a points just a point and even just getting its position is a chore. (1/2)

Yeah, it's certainly stylish but I can't help but think that s2 has conflated vagueness with mystery. Not having a clear arc feels at risk of westworlding it.
