What the actual F&%$?

I keep thinking about when Trump and Vance were telling him in the Oval Office that he “didn’t have the cards,” “say thank you,” “wear a suit,” Zelenskyy was thinking to himself, “Just wait MF’ers.”

Son diagnosed on the spectrum. Straight-A, AP/honors HS grad with more honors/activities asterisks on his grad program, you need a code breaker to decipher them all. He is a straight-A ROTC cadet at college, small business owner and he wrote a check 2 days ago for taxes on his investment gains.

And the coffee machine. Don’t forget the coffee machine.

We received a memo about a month ago about confirming who is on your online meetings (DoD). I suspect we will have another mandatory training on the topic now. This is how these things usually percolate downward.

Right! I’ve asked this question too. In doing this are they trying to remove just the votes on that race (bad enough) or on all the races on the ballot? And in that case were they going to go back and see if that affects any other race? (Me: NC resident)

Yep. Descaling. And yep, every time.

I asked my black lab if she liked Kristi Noem and she said, "No."

“Kyle” is making the maximum GS pay one can make, including basic and locality pay.

What is wrong with people?

Here's my comment to them on their scorched earth policy wiping out all sorts of things they don't understand about the details of the inner workings of the federal government: "You know nothing, John Snow."

I honestly didn’t think “retribution” would be going after regular folks who go to work, pay their taxes and contribute positively to society.

I work with some folks from the UK and they have commented they thought it was strange all the American flags they see everywhere when they are over here.

Yep.

I’m currently re-watching GoT as an escape. Prizes if you can name the character who plays DJT.

Assuming “HR” is actual HR, HR is not in my chain of command. I’ll respond to requests from my chain of command. FFS

Don’t forget conflicts of interest galore.

Yes, but the RTO EO.
comment in response to post
Meanwhile there is the EO to return to the office. Makes perfect sense.

Yes, I may have a double negative in there, but you might be able to pick out my point.

I wonder the same about all polling. I recognize my views may differ from others, but when, say, 30% of those polled are opposite from something that is completely opposite from sanity, I’m like, do these people actually have a pulse? For reference, I consider myself relatively sane.

I don’t know… if I was that rich, I would like to think I wouldn’t be that ignorant.

2/2: without any mental reservation or purpose of evasion; and that I will well and faithfully discharge the duties of the office on which I am about to enter. So help me God.” Did EM take this same oath? From what I am reading, it appears this oath is being broken hourly.

Until the RTO order, I was voluntary (my idea, not a requirement) 24/7 on call. That ship has sailed. I'll check during my normal working hours on Tuesday.

And I get pinged by my travel system when I try to upgrade from compact to medium size rental car to carry more colleagues to/fm worksite when on TDY travel.

When is some state AG going to file something against this guy that the other guy can't pardon? I'm sure there are plenty of illegal activities to pick from by now.

Why the "F" is Elon the "space invader" a "special government employee" and did he take an oath like regular federal employees? Asking for a friend.

Keep fighting the good fight! Yep, they're all unrecognizable from back then. Hoping they can make a difference one day. The dinner table conversation is quite often centered around social justice issues.

March for Science 2017. Why do we have to keep doing this?

My mother taught me that calling names wasn't nice and since I'm trying to figure out what is driving the "space invader," to take a break from my recent amateur study of the the law and the constitution, I decided to look up the origins of the word, "moron." www.teenvogue.com/story/the-si...

DoD is subject to all the recent reduction threats (except no hiring freeze in my agency). Delete DoD mission isn’t going to happen, so they’d have to contract all the work. How much do they think that will cost and what is the projected delta in dollars, not to mention the hit on readiness?

This is a test. This is only a test. If this had been an actual emergency..... well, um, uh...
comment in response to post
They can't, and for DoD, they issued a follow up that put funding this on congress to deal with a CR that extends USG funding beyond March 14. I suspect CIA will receive the same update shortly. Interesting that they didn't correct their original "offer" after learning this with DoD.

Damn, I’ve been re-watching the series as an escape and this was the episode I watched today.

I'm curious to see what the final numbers are (if we could get an accurate source on that information). Then I would be curious to see the cost of lost productivity/efficiency this has caused due to the trauma to the federal workforce. I'm doing the job, but won't deny it's been tough.

Since the attack on the fed workforce is so aggressive, I was thinking one thing they are doing is pulling salary data on fed employees and then sorting by salary and age to fire people who exceed some predetermined limit on either.

My thought was Bezos is selling a lot of stuff from China. Yeah, plus the Tesla factory.

This is a state story, but at the federal level, I seem to recall a little tick box on USG background investigations where you are supposed to answer if you have ever tried to overthrow the government. "If you checked Yes, please explain below."
comment in response to post
The language used by the person/people writing these "announcements" and emailing them to the federal workforce is offensive to this career federal civil servant.

I'm not sure, but I don't think "Absolutely!" is an authorized term for use in a government email. I mean.... based on reading a lot of government emails over the years.

Thanks. Every time there are congressional threats to close the government (usually as a tool to get something else passed) I feel like I’m being held hostage for political reasons. This is worse.

On the accident, the commercial jet was likely on a defined flight path with clearance. The helo is supposed to avoid the jets and was either also cleared (ATC error) (or thought it was...pilot error) and if not, was flying in an active landing corridor. This is a human factors event of some sort.
