I also had the chance to meet with quite a few friends who I haven't seen in years!

A little correction, I use 30 microns for rolling stock, not 35, not that it makes a huge difference, but wanted to correct that!

Oh and I use blender with STL file editing, Fusion (free version) doesn't play well with regular meshes, and can't convert them to parametric.

You are very welcome! There is also a consideration regarding exposure time. Lower values might give you a bit more detail, but that also eats into stability and strength. With this resin I settled at 2.4 seconds (started at 2.8 , then tried 2). I call this "informed trial and error" haha

Well that's f***ing awesome!

With buildings, bridges, etc, that sort of thing, which has some detail but doesn't need to be super fine, I use 50 microns, for rolling stock I go down to 35 microns. Under that I feel you get into "diminishing returns" territory.

I was scrolling past thinking that was "just" a photo of the loco, then the text caught my eye...and wow. Very impressive work indeed! My own weathering technique is an ever evolving skill paved with "Eh...that'll do". It takes patience...

Oh and the scale is TT, so 1:120 , but I guess I mentioned that above, can't hurt to repeat :P

Hello! No worries here is the rest of the info:
Printer: Elegoo Saturn 3 Ultra Resin printer
Material: Anycubic ABS-like pro 2
Wall thickness: N/A (resin print)
Supports: Came with model (with and without)
For N scale I'd definitely recommend using a resin printer (SLA), and not MDF for resolution.

It's pretty similar to when you do workout to improve our physique, the hardest part is sticking to it, and enduring the discomfort! But yea the brain can be trained, there are methods, but I'm no expert in those! Therapists usually give you helpful excercises.

It's possible to rewire our brain, to varying degrees, but it's hard. When you break with a habit or create a habit, you do exactly that. Basically we need to reconfigure the default reaction to life situations, and that's not an easy thing to do...It takes a lot of effort and will.

The original models are from here:
www.cgtrader.com/3d-print-mod...
These are all H0 so I have to adapt them to TT, which sadly is quite a bit more work than just printing the models at 72.5% scale, due to different wheel proportions and couplers. I wish they would include the step/blend file!

If we would all wait for others to come to us, everybody would be waiting around all alone! :D And you know in the grand scheme of things does it matter how many know if you even exist? Not really. Those who are important to you know. That's my 2cents anyway ;)

I do base this on my own experience, the burden is not on others, it's on us (you) to reach out, we can't wait for others to assume you want them to spend time with you.

And, if you do crave the attention of more people, then there really is no other way than "diving in" and being (pro)active. If you go through life without making connections, yes, very few will know if you disappear.

Look at this a bit differently for a moment: It might be "a few close friends" but that right there is a huge thing to have. Close friends. Don't take that for granted. Rather have interactions with a few true friends than a crowd.

And then you actually give people a much more versatile and much more unique core xy printer instead of ever so slightly improving over the competition.

This is especially annoying to me, because making the build volume is pretty much the simplest thing to improve. The motors/drivers/hotend can all be the exact same, it's not like a 36 liter build volume (instead of 14) will increase the price by 250 %. My guess would be around 10-20 %.

I agree, and thankfully on certain platforms you can get quite a few various stl designs. I'd go one step further, and just like with 3D models for VRchat for example, the source blender/fbx/step file would be for sale so you can edit it more easily. STL is not a great format for editing.
