We aren't inflicting it on ourselves. The rich, and the first world, are doing it to everyone else. I am not responsible, in any way, for the way that big oil conducts it's lobbying.
We can start by stop blaming everyone and naming the people who are responsible for the system we have; the powerful

most communists aren't even willing to read those; I know where you are coming from, but I genuinely have had much more success convincing people to read stuff like Against Empire and Killing Hope than any real communist literature. Liberals reflexively reject people them.

Oh I promise you I yell at neoliberals way more, it's not even close; and then people ask me why I'm bothering to talk to liberals
the amount of people I've told to just look at killing hope this month must be in the dozens.

I'm not expecting everyone to go vegan, though. I'm expecting leftists to be able to understand that they shouldn't personally be paying to have sentient beings killed.
If it's actually impossible for you, that's one thing, but we can reduce the amount of suffering in the world right now.

"it is likely that a consumer, when choosing to buy a chicken, has close to a 1/900 chance of being on the threshold, and if a consumer decision triggers the threshold event, the impact will be that 900 fewer chickens will be sold that year."
It depends on how many animals you eat, avg america 100s

I mean, you said that there's no point in any one individual going vegan, and then I linked a study to refute that.

> Third, we argue that there are good reasons to believe that single individual consumers—not just consumers in aggregate—really do make a positive difference when they choose to abstain from meat consumption.

I mean, there have been studies on it. It saves lives. It won't abolish factory farming, but it does actually make a difference even on an individual level.

we can reduce suffering by going vegan now while simultaneously working towards abolishing the industry.
It's like how I don't think Vietnam vets can stop the war by dodging the draft, but you should anyways.

I'm sorry that I'm willing to hear you about the fact that quinoa is bad i guess? isn't that what you want? do you want me to just eat it anyways?
I don't understand how else I'm supposed to respond. I don't think something is good because it's vegan. I just think veganism is good.
comment in response to

Why would you think I don't care? I don't eat coffee or chocolate. I'm more than willing to give up quinoa
comment in response to

yeah but it takes less produce to feed humans directly then it does to feed produce to animals and then feed them to us. Less suffering is better.

We don't need a vanguard party for you to go vegan, though. but we DO need one to stop capitalists from exploiting us.
If you could just choose not to participate in capitalism, like you can with factory farming sentient beings, I would hope people would do that.

I don't think it will solve the climate crisis you are needless killing animals. that's it. it's no complicated

look i really try not too be too preachy, this tweet got me though because like pretty recently BE made a video about how veganism was "objectively correct" and is now doing this.
If you want to actually read my thoughts on veganism, here they are, no obligation:

for sure, but at least read over this and think about it. I don't think we can end animal agriculture at all by liberal individualistic action. I just think we CAN actually reduce suffering somewhat with our choices.

so as the role of labour is reduced the ability of capitalist to be able to extract surplus values from their factories is reduced, paradoxically
comment in response to

I didnt; there's spelling errors lmao, but because according to marx, the only place value comes from is labour. he demonstrates it with the corn vs iron example in captial where they are compared to a third thing that only has value bc of labour

the falling rate of profit is the tendency of capitalism to fail to be able to increase profit as better technology decrease the role of labour in industry

in fact; the discrepancy between this video and these tweets are so big it actually makes me wonder if this is really his account.
Not to get too conspiratorial but this account is not linked anywhere on his main or side channel, unlike his Instagram. (Which is less important probably.)

have you even seen what BadEmpanada has said about Veganism? He literally called it a "never ending holocaust"
comment in response to

We should do both, and going vegan is way easier. You can save lives, actual lives, today, by stopping eating meat. Those lives are on YOUR hands, by your choice.
It's not like capitalism. Where's no way for you to stop engaging with it, or where we need to change the whole system first.

have you considered that it's the morally correct position and BE agrees (or at least used to)? This bluesky account isn't linked anywhere on his channel, Honestly, watch this video and tell me you don't think it's weird he's doing this:

dude, you literally were referencing Peter Singers argument from Marginal Cases like 3 years ago. You made a video where you said that non-vegans idealogy is consistent with eating untelligent humans.
Is this a serious take you have now or just made at white westerners on Twitter?
