Rereading David Barton’s commentary throughout and I’m struck by how many articles are just reiterations of neoliberalism (tax is theft, free markets are godly, welfare states and socialism are unbiblical). We often forget Christian nationalism isn’t just about religion or race, but class privilege.

We are going to see political investigations and prosecutions. The question is whether the public, the courts and the media will recognize and call them out as political. Will they stand up against them or will people stay silent and allow them to continue.
