Hate to tell you... :(

One more individual who has no idea who you are or what you have done. Had hoped we'd left those folks behind in that other place.

Congratulations to you both.

Good luck.

I've been reading ASM since the 1970's and have been through some bad patches (Mackie and the Byrne relaunche come to mind) but I've never seen such a sustained time of mediocre stories since OMD, nor a time where editorial delights in aggravating the fans rather than ensuring a quality product.

Agree entirely. Either is the same volume or it's a new entity. You don't get to pick and choose. It's only recently that every new writer gets a number 1. It's just an ego stroke and crass attempt to bulk sales numbers.

No question about it. This is the only correct answer.

Always made a point to stop and look up when I walked past. Once or twice I "may" have been wearing my Superman tee under my dress shirt ;)

Looking good my friend. Happy New year

Thank you my friend. Best wishes from Rachel and me.

I'm sure they looked, Marvel needs new blood for ASM. Trouble is, editorial wants a name writer but they won't or can't work in the BND strictures that same editorial mandates and Marvel won't take the risk on a new untried writer so we end up with the same writers on rotation.

Too true. It's the "one cookie now or two cookies in an hour" experiment writ large.

Good evening my friend. Hope you are well.

They have no idea what to do with Trek. They want a fat cash generator for P+, then make nonsensical decisions to cancel the shows people are watching, not merchandise the stuff folks want (moopsie, murph anyone) and squander fayb passion. I still have no clue what starship was landing where...

Needed this today. The hope and joy the Williams' theme evokes is everything Superman should be. Give me big blue over the bat any day.

This is a real low point. Yeah, this one hurts.

We need to figure out how to teach young people what healthy relationships look like, and we need to start earlier in life because it's scary just how young these adolescents are when first exposed to it. Much earlier than parents want to believe and much more pervasive than we know.

Cases of young women reporting having experienced being strangled during sex, spat on or struck are increasing dramatically and parents, schools and authority figure are ill equipped to teach otherwise. And these are just the kids that will admit to it having happened.

Agree 100%. I platinumed it 4 times - PS5 and PS4 on both PSN accounts. So much fun.

They can assert all they want, they will still be wrong.

"BBQ Chicken" is super sonic, I'll be there in 30 seconds.

Nicholas Hammond... j/K - in my mind, Tobey Maguire is the guy who played Spider-Man. Garfield played ASM and Holland is the one I can never remember

Nice. My 21st was a Millennium Falcon cake my mum bashed for me and it simply brought me so much joy.

Working fine, although I did have to hit view full thread to display in the correct order.

It was fantastic. I laughed and cried in equal measure. As my father succumbs to dementia the gentle approach of the show to this difficult topic hit me right in the heart. Kudos to you all.

Me too. Back when Venom was a true threat to Spider-Man and the clone saga/Sins Past/Civil War/OMD were nowhere to be seen.

Nice. Congratulations.

To be fair, for our generation, who didn't have a crush on Cheetara?

Media literacy is down across the board. Younger generation doesn't learn it before joining the SM milieu and the older generation is used to trust and standards in mainstream media so is susceptible to disinformation too.
comment in response to post
Far too late, but late is better than never. Social media is integral to the lives of the younger generations and cannot be stopped, just tempered.

Heard the same song last week on Magic Radio in the car; that was my first of the year. Not long now until Wham-ageddon begins anew.

Single player, no. Fast twitch multiplayer, yes. Also increasingly finding it difficult to find games that interest me and are worthy of my limited time.

Great thread David, thank you. I don't remember reading this tale even though I have #700. Probably too upset about the body swap at the time. I'll have to dig it up and re-read it. I love the duality of JMD's stories and the layers upon layers of meaning he puts in them.
