Happy WIP Wednesday! These are pics from a multimedia print I made based on Little Miss Muffet. The dark silhouette was done as a relief print and had screenprint layers on top! I used a watercolor screenprinting technique which is very light so I had to do a white layer on top of the black one.

One of my convictions is that 'superhero' is not a Genre. Western, Noir, Romance, Fantasy, Sci-Fi, Horror, Comedy, these are all Genres. And you can put the superhero into any of them, from Jonah Hex to Thor. The Superhero is a WW2 era Imperial Framework you can put over genres as a Lens to play.

Apparently there's a writers vs artist debate right now and to this I say: Comics makes it so you have to have a second job anyway. Get the second job and make the comic yourself. You'll be the head of marketing for your own work with the publisher anyway.

the fun thing about the word "comics" is that it is often used to refer to like five separate forms of publishing, all of which work in completely different ways and are united only by the fact that 99% of the people involved are not getting paid enough

Worth noting Carnegie did this when faced with massive strikes and growing radical movements around the country. 1886 was the same year as Haymarket. His business partner/enforcer was literally shot by an anarchist. Public libraries are great but he and his ilk funded them because they were scared.
