I'm a data scientist but political violence threatens my job. I am struggling to support my family financially but hold two graduate degrees. What the hell happened?

I dunno if that's right. It sounds right. Even if not right, fuck that guy.

My Shaddar Kai warlock with +4 CHA moves 50 ft across the battle field, confusing my GM. "You only have 30 ft of movement. Are you dashing?"
"No," I said "I'm just really handsome."
I got a point of inspiration for my quick thinking.

I would love for Sarah McBride to do this with Mr Nancy Mace in the house

Dragon age origins. Bg3 is basically in that same vein

Couldn't agree more. Young men need role models to develop properly. Toxic masculinity is what you get when boys raise themselves and have nothing to look forward to out of life

I ran a model based on census estimates of demographics. Republican districts with the lowest expected likelihood of being held by a Republican:
District 10, Pennsylvania (Scott Perry 50.5%)
District 1, New York (Nicholas LaLota 55.2%)
District 1, Maryland (Andy Harris 59.6%)

I like that you're looking into this because you're right, we need to campaign where it will be felt in Congress. Thing is, that difference in the last election doesn't tell the whole story. Turn out was down nationally for dems but moreso in metro areas than expected.

That difference isn't the whole game though. Turn out was down for democrats nationally. We should look for easy pick ups based on composition of the electorate as well as margin of loss

Thank you Ms Hastings for serving humanity and making Maryland proud. Thank you Representative for sharing her story and faithfully serving our state.

You need to be demanding more from the Republicans in Congress.

You love that he's giving up all leverage against Russia by coercing Ukraine to end hostilities? Do you really think Putin is going to give up resources they've secured? I hope you're being sarcastic since it's pretty clear Trump is bargaining with Russia and betrayed all of Europe

@libradunn1.bsky.social the MD 1st district is on that list. Andy Harris' district is vulnerable, especially right now with federal layoffs

Been working on this
I've identified 20 Districts held by Republicans that look vulnerable based on Census estimates of their population. The model covers age, race, education, occupation, social security benefits and more.

In summary, the power held by Republicans in Congress is disproportionate to the number of people they represent, and significantly fewer racial or ethnic minorities are represented by Republicans in Congress. Their constituency is predictably older, more often Caucasian and rural.

Keep in mind though, there are obvious abuses that concentrate power away from Democratic held areas. Texas is notoriously gerrymandered, resulting in diminished power in Democratically held cities around Houston and Dallas

When viewing district level power, we see several places where power is concentrated (dark) and should be merged to reduce districts, but also regions that are light and should be split. Zoomed out, it appears many of the darker shaded regions are in the South, Midwest and West.

The most valuable districts as a function of population density and power (inverse population per representative) are:
District 10, Michigan (John James, 51.1%)
District 24, Texas (Beth Van Duyne, 60.3%)
District 1, New York (Nicholas LaLota, 55.2%)

Many of the identified areas are in Texas and Florida, but also Michigan, North Carolina and Pennsylvania. This model ranks according to area composition but likely has clues for constituent issues as well. I planned to do another county and block group level analysis similar to this.

Buttigieg goes on fox all the time, but we need to live in the lions den from now on. You're right, our elected leaders need to remain adults in the room and let the electorate speak outrage. I want to see our religious leaders step up since these craven Republicans have shown they have no values

You could have advanced a motion to ensure 6mos severance for employees wrongly terminated, federal protections from prosecution when just doing your job or limited executive overreach by explicitly partitioning funds out of executive reach. But sure, drug prices and messaging.

It is now effectively legal to discriminate on the basis of national origin. The policy in question affected green card holders, otherwise known as lawful permanent residents.
If this justice department won't enforce our laws, what else will they allow?

Diversity = Heterogeneity
Equity = Fairness
Inclusion = Addition
The facts don't have to change and the irresponsible cruelty of this administration shouldn't go unchallenged. If it's between phrasing and disappearing altogether though? Which serves mankind?
