For me, it's just the basics: adblocker and password manager ๐Ÿšซ๐Ÿ”’. Keeps my browsing experience clean, without too much clutter

For me, it was Half Life: Alyx - I think I spent 24+ hours playing it in the first week, completely absorbed in the immersive VR experience

Hey, if the debug statement/video analysis method works for you, who am I to judge ๐Ÿคท

We're using an internally hosted Nextcloud instance ๐Ÿ“๐Ÿ’ป. Upside: it's open-source and highly customizable. Downside: UI needs some getting used to.

Never seen this before. ๐Ÿค” Seems unnecessary to force a password change after just one wrong attempt...

๐ŸŽ‰๐Ÿš€ Wow, 33 million users and counting! ๐Ÿคฏ Scaling to support that many users is no easy feat - kudos to the @bsky.app team for building such a reliable platform that can handle the rapidly growing user load ๐Ÿ™Œ. Can't wait to see what the future holds for this amazing platform ๐ŸŒŸ

๐Ÿ™Œ As a born-and-raised Viennese, I couldn't agree more! ๐Ÿฆ‹ Vienna is a great place to live and work. And if you're considering other options in Austria to do research at, I can highly recommend Graz - I made the move myself and love it here ๐Ÿ˜Š

I feel you, but I have to give credit where credit is due: I've been carried by btrfs more times than I can count ๐Ÿ™ˆ snapshots always save the day in my case!

I feel you! It's like, come on, we can see the logs, we know what's going onโ€ฆ but I think people lie because they're either embarrassed about not knowing something or they're trying to avoid looking stupid ๐Ÿ™ˆ

There are so many moving parts to consider, from gameplay mechanics to storytelling to visuals and sound design ๐ŸŽจ๐Ÿ‘‚. It's easy to get caught up in the excitement of bringing new ideas to life, but the reality is that it takes a ton of hard work and dedication to create something truly special!

Rewriting the @astro.build compiler in Go was a bold move, and it's great to see that it's paying off. I've been following the developments in native JS tooling, and it's exciting to observe how the rapidly evolving landscape is shaping ๐Ÿ™Œ

I completely agree, the bar is set high for Apple's AI features to be truly innovative and polished. If they fail to deliver, it could be a significant blow to their reputation. But if they can pull it off, it could be another โ€œlate to the gameโ€œ success story. The pressure is onโ€ฆ

Let's not forget the importance of understanding and writing quality code. After all, isn't that what makes coding such a rewarding experience? Let's keep the vibe alive by staying engaged and critical in our own coding practices. ๐Ÿง  (3/3)

Sure, #AI can assist in #coding, but should we rely on it to the point where we don't understand the results? As Andrej Karpathy put it, "I just see stuff, say stuff, run stuff, and copy paste stuff, and it mostly works". But is "mostly works" good enough for real-world applications? (2/3)

While it's disappointing to hear that Apple's AI features are delayed, I think it's better to prioritize getting it right rather than rushing something out the door. Maybe this gives them a chance to focus on more meaningful integrations and less gimmicky features ๐Ÿคž

Both are cool in their own ways! If you have more questions about Warp, feel free to ask! ๐Ÿ˜Š (2/2)

Hey there! I have not heard of zoxide before and just checked it out. This is my conclusion: - Warp: Lets you jump to any child directory, either interactively or directly if there's a fuzzy match. ๐Ÿš€ - zoxide: Smart cd that learns your favorite spots and gets you there with fewer keystrokes. ๐Ÿง  (1/2)

Exactly! I was impressed by the price/power ratio of Hetzner's servers compared to other providers like DigitalOcean :) and thanks for the tip Iโ€™ll take a look at Contabo when I have time ๐Ÿ‘Œ

I recently had the chance to compare the M3 Pro MacBook Pro and M1 MacBook Air, and I also got to listen to the M4 Pro. Interestingly, the M4 Pro sounded very similar to the M3 Pro, and both were significantly better than the M1 MacBook Air.

Not every success story needs to be wrapped in inspirational packaging - sometimes just continuing on your journey is the achievement. I appreciate the honesty!

We've had a lot of success building Knowledge Bases with GitHub/GitLab wikis. It's been a great way to collaborate and keep our docs organized. So I can imagine that it could work well as a google docs alternative.

No worries about asking again. If you're looking for a privacy-focused browser on macOS that, I'd like to suggest Orion from the team @kagi.com. I've been using it and I'm really impressed with how lightweight and fast it is. Also it is not based on chromium, but on WebKit instead.

I think we can have the best of both worlds. While it's great to see computer enthusiasts passionate about creating games and software, startups have also been a driving force for innovation and progress in tech. They've brought us countless breakthroughs and disruptions to improve our lives.

The homelab life - where 1% of the time is spent enjoying the fruits of your labor, and 99% is spent in a never-ending cycle of installing, uninstalling, and updating. Anyone else feel like they're stuck in a sysadmin loop? ๐Ÿ™‡

Many of you have already pointed this out, but just to reiterate: if you're on Windows, Windows Defender is a solid free option. For macOS, you're already covered with XProtect running silently in the background, so no need to install anything extra. ๐Ÿ‘Œ

It lets you instantly jump to directories with fuzzy search or direct matching. No more typing long paths or navigating through nested folders one by one. Simple but powerful! Recorded a quick demo to show warp in action! ๐Ÿ‘‡

This was a recent passion project of mine! I found myself using it daily and thought others might benefit too. It's simple but has dramatically improved my terminal workflow. Happy to hear feedback if anyone tries it out! ๐ŸŽ‰

I absolutely agree with them having to invest more in โ€œAIโ€ integration and not making another chatbot. On the other hand I think adding support for other LLMs (e.g. Gemini) into one well integrated interface that can interact with any app on the system could be a real pleasure to use (if done well)

Absolutely agree. Technical barriers are lower than ever - building takes weeks not months now. But that creates more competition, making customer acquisition the real differentiator. Go-to-market expertise is becoming as crucial as technical innovation to succeed.
