If windmills are personal bribes than yes.

Yes. Proof positive of a long line of lame candidates with bad messaging. Same with Gore, Kerry, Hillary, and Biden refusing to step aside. It's like they want to lose. I live with young people (D), they told me.

Investors will need to pay the tariff exemption shakedown to have any hope to be rid of him. The law firms were quick to do it.

He doesn't care. As long as he gets "his" tariff exemption bribes it makes perfect sense to him. I suppose it's his supporters that are living a simulation. $300 sneakers.

Trump is f'ing w Wall Street and cheating up on the side. It's a shakedown for tariff exemptions and everyone knows it. Buffett is a buyer and there's nothing to buy now that the system has changed. He'll sit on all that cash for as long as he needs.

These moves have nothing to do with industrial, trade or economic policy. It's a shakedown for tariff exemptions, only.

Where would my family's financial well being be on a 1-10 list for the Trump administration? Hmm.

And as the automobile industry fails, used cars will cost more than new ones (because you can't get one). Like Soviet Russia. Meanwhile Mexico will have self-driving electric cars for 10K. Remember "foreign companies pay the tariffs."

This move has nothing to do with industrial/trade/economic policy. It's a shakedown for tariff exemptions, only. We can be pretty sure that none of that is a reason for anything in private industry. The way out will require a new level of imagination.

My great grandmother at 36, w 5 children (Spanish flu, 1918) and my uncle at 5 (diphtheria, 1927) died because there were no vaccines. I remember my grandmother's voice describing both deaths. I think of them whenever I get my regular vaccines. Nothing has spared more.

None of this is meant to be economic policy. It's a shakedown for tariff exemptions. 4 trillion in wealth wiped out in 2 days.

I've been happily using the subway every day since I was a child in the 1960's. What gives?

Or pay Trump a bribe for a tariff exemption.
comment in response to post
He is intentionally destroying the economy in a shakedown for tariff exemptions. He doesn't actually believe "foreigners pay the tariffs." Pure evil.

Deutronium.
comment in response to post
It's called a shakedown. He couldn't care less what happens to the economy. And everyone knows it. What a pathetic end to the America we knew.

Amen from NYC Mr. Takei.

Remember, ours is a nation that allows banks to roll the dice in the stock market, for their personal profit, with other people's money!

It's JD putting on a show for Trump. Plus it's a (weak) distraction attempt from the looting of the US Treasury and economic destruction. Meanwhile, Trump is planning to emcee shows at the Kennedy Center. Oh, and arresting "people of crime."

At best, every business deal involving the Western Hemisphere is on hold indefinitely. That fact alone, plus other glaring/negative factors, points to economic ruin. It's like 1928. Definitely expecting rain.

That's it. $1.99

Trump keeps cutting this guy off at the knees. Everyone knows what he is. As for Biden, it was obvious in '22 that he should bow out, then a primary for a strong candidate. I'll never understand it. Canada strong 100%.

WTF? Secret meeting? With maga group in Florida. Who and what political cause is she raising money for? I might be under-informed about Canadian politics, but how does that fly? Canada bsky do your thing.

With respect, and as a fan, it seems less than likely that a typical US border agent would be familiar with UK Subs' artistic work and political positions. Ask Bad Brains.

What could possibly go wrong? "Safety third!"

China's state capitalism economy is integrated in a way that no Western sphere country could ever be. China has 2 parties, the CCP and the Military that control key industries directly as well as regulate private corps. I'm sure the Canadian gov't knows very well. Still, a better trading partner?

The Century Initiative says the GTA population should grow to 33 million and "would reduce the burden on government revenues." I wonder how they analyze this?

From personal experience, (and not maga), but leaving the US while awaiting "adjustment of status" has long been a serious violation that will likely ban her from the US for 10 years. Combined w overstaying a visa equals huge legal problems. A basic and big mistake, and why we ask lawyers first.
