Also an opportunity for Europe to deny the American military use of its military bases in order to launch military operations in the Middle East.

Dejoy "helped fund President George W. Bush's 2004 reelection campaign, co-chaired Rudy Giuliani's North Carolina fundraising campaign in 2008." "He donated $1.2 million each to Donald Trump's 2020 campaign, and to the Republican Party since 2016. en.wikipedia.org/wiki/Louis_D...
comment in response to post
What a right wing biased article about Dejoy. The article says "Republicans have grown wary of DeJoy and the Postal Service’s close ties to the Biden administration". But Wikipedia says "DeJoy has served as a major donor and fundraiser for a number of high-profile Republican Party politicians."

They fired a black man and a white woman. They also fired a white man, but he was probably just the token white man so that they could deny they were intentionally discriminating against anyone who wasn't a white male.

The chairman doesn't have any operational authority. So not having a chairman doesn't really matter.

Trump's policy towards Ukraine will stay the same whether or not the US is given access to the minerals. I have no idea why people pretend otherwise. Ironically, a country like China might be more amenable to changing its Ukraine policy for the metals because China values its national interest more.

The only people who care about the NYC congestion pricing issue are people who live in the NYC area. And everyone there knows it hasn't been killed.

Just checked. All 3 judges at the Southern District of Iowa are appointed by Biden or Obama. Trump is screwed.

Google AI says a retired general, which Caine is, can't be appointed as Chairman of the Joint Chiefs of Staff. "No, a retired general cannot be appointed as the Chairman of the Joint Chiefs of Staff. The chairman must be an active-duty officer in the armed forces."

Trump was ordained by God to fulfill the Constitution.

What if Clement rejects the appointment?

UnitedHealth should say it libeled Trump and then immediately put $10 million in Trump's bank account. Then Trump will order this investigation be dropped.

How come Trump has problems using adverbs? Serious-ly

If Taiwan really wants Trump to support it, it should stick $20 million a month in Trump's bank account. Then he would certainly support Taiwan.

Trump might as well issue an executive order dissolving Congress and placing it under the Department of Interior.
comment in response to post
Prediction: Trump's gonna issue an executive order dissolving the United States Supreme Court and putting it under the "Department of Justice." It's no more illegal than dissolving the Postal Board of Governors.
comment in response to post
Maybe Americans don't believe Trump did those things, and someone else did it instead.

Trump's referring to Greenpeace right?

Gotta love the circular definition of defining sex in terms of male and female and then defining male and female in terms of sex.

"My new executive order is everyone call me King Donald now. Any media that doesn't do that will be banned from the White House." Media meekly obeys.

Wikipedia gave a very accurate description of Musk's job at "DOGE" - (De Facto) Organization executive

Axios says it serves a primarily a US audience, but I bet that's not true. The vast majority of its readers are non-US.

This should be renamed ZCI - Zuckerberg Chan Initiative - because we all know who's the boss.

Calling Trump "Far Right" leaves out that he's also "Far Left" on some issues. Trump's just nuts, like Lyndon Larouche. But what is most striking is that a significant majority of White Americans support Trump's Lyndon Larouche like nutiness.

"The Constitution requires all federal agencies be accountable to the President. But the Constitution also has an exception that the Federal Reserve need not be accountable. Just read the Constitution. That's what it says."
comment in response to post
Congress would never have passed the laws giving independent agencies these powers if it knew the President or DOJ could impose is own views over the independent agencies. So it's ridiculous for courts to rule the President has these powers.

Frankly, Japan needs to consider getting its own nuclear weapons for self-defense in case of a war with Russia or China.

The really sad part is they don't do anything special. Anything Silicon Valley can do, China can do at least as well. Example: DeepSeek

Worst part of the article. "opponents of our position, many of whom would normally object to following original meaning" If someone were to say the President is limited to 2 terms because the of the 22nd amendment, this is not an "original meaning" argument. It's a statement about what words mean.

You're giving way too much credit to Republicans. Republicans don't care about Christianity. They only care about being White eg Vance supports the German AfD but the AfD has less appeal to Christians than the major parties. And Trump expressly says he wants more White South African immigrants.
comment in response to post
As JD Vance said, his fellow neighbors (that God obligates to love) are the atheists who live next door to him, not Christians who believe and are willing to die for Jesus Christ.

The next question to ask is "What kind of things should the Leader of the Free World do?" Here Republicans will be more confused on how to answer this question. A lot of Republicans will just repeat standard Republican talking points like Secure the Border, Ban DEI, etc.
comment in response to post
I'm sure the Supreme Court Republicans will make up some new conservative legal doctrine where Elon Musk will still be a quasi federal officer with supremacy clause immunity who was never appointed to a federal office.
