Trudeau: "I want to speak first directly to the American people. We don't want this. We want to work with you as a friend and ally. We don't want to see you hurt either. But your government has chosen to do this to you. As of this morning, markets are down and inflation is set to rise dramatically."

I’m not going to the Joint Address. I will be live posting and chatting with you all here instead. Then going on IG Live after.

This is what I worried about: The Trump administration would just create an enemies lists of universities on the pretext of battling anti-semitism, and threaten them with financial collapse. As universities fall in line, the administration removes any dissent from higher education.

Ok also AOC and Elon Musk are not in a “tit-for-tat feud.” AOC is a duly elected member of Congress who operates under an oath to our constitution and Elon Musk is an unelected Nazi billionaire whose wealth makes him think he’s above the law and empowered to illegally torch our government.

#BHM Spotlight: @pressley.house.gov, who serves on the Subcmte on H&I, and the Subcmte on Digital Assets. Last Congress, Rep. Pressley reintroduced the "Greater Supervision in Banking Act," legislation to strengthen Congressional oversight of the country’s largest banks, protect consumers, and more.

The Fulbright Foreign Student Program invites graduate students from abroad to come study in the US and guarantees funding for them to do so paid in a monthly stipend. Yesterday, some FFSP scholars received notification that they're only getting a week of their stipend.

The cowardice of the GOP has been astounding 👇 #TraitorTrump

Current theory: Dowd has been dead for years, quietly replaced by an AI set to "rhyming demon"

Good luck securing a flu shot next year. Hope your immune system is solid and you're not too young or old to survive.

Emphasizing again that anyone who responds to "that's illegal" with some variant of "lol all law is meaningless you're a sucker for thinking that matters" is actively doing PR for Trump and helping him. Nihilism about the law is the best way to make sure that the rule of law dies a quicker death.

I have been appalled & disgusted by the silence of academic colleauges on the genocide in Gaza (but not surprised). So I expect little from them. For everyone else who cares about knowledge, humanity & truth, this is an powerful film on the scholasticide perpetrated by Israel youtu.be/G5MmIDc1LXE

Middle East specialist Abdullah al-Arian says US President Trump’s comments asking Egypt and Jordan to accept 1.5 million Palestinians from Gaza is a credible threat and not just an off-the-cuff remark. 🔴 Read analysis: aje.io/8uyutv

Amazon workers in Quebec unionized last year. This week, Amazon closed its warehouse operations in Quebec. Amazon denied the closures were related to unionization, but it has a track record of crushing unions in America. Union busting is disgusting — and a global problem.
