OMG - not Thom Tillis pretending to take yet another anti MAGA stand. He’ll cave as he always does and vote in lockstep.

I am sure Tom Tillis loves these partisan judges.

OMG. Don’t fall for the Tillis game. He does this on every single vote. Then sides MAGA. He’s scared of his own shadow.

I agree. But too simplistic a view. Trump 1.0 was chaos, but for the most part was constrained. Trump 2.0 is far, far worse. Brexit may have set the UK back, but it’s recoverable. The US will be unrecognizable after 4 yrs of unconstrained sycophancy.

He deserves to be ‘vulnerable’. Senator for a purple state and votes MAGA, but pretends to be centrist. Please. He should lose.

Don’t fall for the Tillis act again. Like a turtle, he only sticks his neck out so far and then yanks it back into his MAGA shell. He’ll never not do the MAGA thing.

Schumer is an old man pining for the old times. He is so far behind events. He needs his rocking chair and porch.

Unusually, I disagree with you on this and see Schumer’s actions as cowardly. The politics of the moment are not normal. We are not reverting to the mean. We might not have elections (and least fair and transparent) in 2026. We need to act like it. Your cautious centrism risks it all.

This sounds like the Brexiter’s Rwanda plan redux.

The problem of this period is that wealth does not equal smart. Yet we frame it oppositely. Hence we get wealthy people doing dumb stuff.

Run @petebuttigieg.bsky.social Run. You might not win. But you’ll be miles ahead if you get in and fight now.

He’s had a lifetime of practice.

It’s a fool that puts any faith in Trump’s word.

Applaud your efforts. Thom Tillis is a faux centrist is a MAGA hat. Truly spineless when it matters. Wants to run for president. Hope Ol Roy whoops him.

Thom Tillis - Senator Extraordinaire. Always promises to be a centrist, but then finds a way to be MAGA. He is running for president - that’s all the news here.

But….Trump’s incompetence will shine brightly and thus he will still mess up his 4 aces. He is the Boris Johnson of politics. What seems all conquering one minute is gone, poof, in a flash. It is the legacy that will be painful to overcome.

So true. The incompetence will soon become apparent. Many will overlook it, but just like Brexit, the realities will be felt by even the most die hard voters. Like Johnson, maybe he doesn’t even make it thru 4 years.

At least this proved somewhat costly…though the loss of the NC Supreme Court seat will have deep ramifications for years to come. The pertinent question now is, can we ever end gerrymandering?
