I don’t think we need to make Miller complicated. He’s a simple man to understand. He really doesn’t like people who are different. He wants a country where everybody looks like each other.

This made me laugh out loud. The rice a roni joke was pure gold.

There should be congressional hearings about the identity and offenses of the men who have been taken to this gulag.

Diplomacy is compromise; each side gets some things they want, while making concessions. Trump treats it as a single transaction, with a winner and a loser. He doesn’t care about screwing the loser, because he assumes they’ll never deal with him again anyway. It doesn’t work that way.

This is what happens when you try to play someone important, for TV, but you’re really an untalented hack.

The other issue is, 99% of Viking fans can’t stand the guy.

There’s a phrase for that…quid something.

Lindsey told us who he is years ago. He sways whichever way the wind is blowing. That’s really easy, when you have no spine, or firmly held principles.

Those last couple of sentences in the post pretty much sum up the Trump presidency: Transactional. Perhaps illegal. Not ethical. The slippery slope only gets steeper from here.

This member of Congress cannot make any guarantees, because Congress is no longer in the business of doing their job. They’ve ceded it all to Musk. The power of the purse string was never meant to be in the hands of one person. But here we are.

Something tells me he doesn’t mean these guys, Patriot Front, with the no masks comment.

Trump expected Zelenskyy to show up, kiss the ring, be belittled, and “be nice” to Putin. He didn’t get that, and he reacted like the child that he is.

Correct.

When people have an opinion, they use words. When they have nothing, they use insults.

$80,000 for a truck that’s not a truck. And it looks ridiculous too. What a waste. Every time I see one on the road, I just laugh. Imagine spending that amount of money, on such a piece of junk.

How can anyone be this ignorant, about the history of this region?

They assumed there would still be some sane people in the room, as there was last time, to keep him from pursuing his worst instincts. Nominees this time are not sane, or qualified; they are only loyal. There will be no Mike Pence, Mark Milley, or Bill Barr, this time. It’s already a mess.

The goal of an anarchist is to break things, and then say, “isn’t it terrible?”

The bully always expects their intimidation to work.

But because it’s been done via executive order, it can’t be undone in less than four years. I get your point, tough.

That pretty much sums it up. He has made the members of the GOP to come to heel. And now he is installing the goons who are gonna carry out project 2025.

I do not want Americans to suffer through this hellscape. But I am starting to wonder if the hellscape is necessary, to wake people up. Somehow, we have to learn from this election. Don’t elect tyrants, and then deny there will be tyranny.

Only an extremely insecure person puts on this much of a macho man show.

Hard to argue with that synopsis. I appreciated the correlation to the business world. It is like promoting store manager to CEO. Just because you know how to restock the toilet paper and paper towels, doesn’t mean you know how to run the corporation.

Although the questioning about his character flaws makes for noteworthy clips, the questioning should focus more on qualifications for this lofty role. I think we’re already aware that character is not an issue people consider, when evaluating a politician or appointee.

Can’t believe I’m saying this but the Bears job is the best option.

The problem with this worldview is, when some other person, known to be Christian, says or does something that challenges their beliefs, it’s not their beliefs that are reconsidered, it’s the other person’s faith that must be reconsidered, or challenged.

I thought Pelosi stepping aside as minority leader was an admirable decision. This decision seems to lack forethought. The Dems need fresh blood in leadership.

There was just no way the issue only became noticeable on the night of the debate. Kamala Harris became tied up in it as well, which is a contributing factor in losing the election.

I never know what to be more disappointed about, when Scott goes on one of these rants; the knowledge that he’s playing to the “always anti” crowd, or that the always anti crowd is important enough to CNN, that they have to give them something. Feeding the beast only makes them feel more entitled.

It’s gonna be a rough four years, but I really don’t see who Trump passes the baton to after that. His play will be to get the term limit on the presidency overturned but I don’t see that happening.

The red bellied woodpecker is the most poorly named bird I know. The red headed woodpecker stole their name.
