such classy leadership on display here

And while I'm on it, considering the magnitude of events, the tightrope gov't is trying to walk, and their earnest declarations of patriotism, it is at best naive for farmers to go ahead with some tin-eared “no pancakes without us” protest - let alone the Leader of the Opposition attending. AT BEST.

JD Vance is currently claiming that his obnoxious comments about France & the UK planning to put 20,000 peacekeeping troops on the ground in Ukraine had, wait for it, nothing to do with France & the UK. Doublespeak, dipshit or both?

Trump seriously believes that he is going to be given credit for forcing a surrender by Ukraine to the Russian invasion. Apparently, he thinks he is going to be awarded the Nobel Peace Prize.

A surprising number of people seem to think Trump tanking the world economy is some sort of grand plan. The alternative, which his business career suggests is likely, is that he hasn't a friggin' clue what he's doing.

There is no level of dumb this man cannot reach.

Trudeau: "They're talking about working positively with Russia, appeasing Vladimir Putin- a lying, murderous, dictator. Make that make sense. Canadians are reasonable and we are polite. But we will not back down from a fight...Canada will be implementing 25% tariffs against $155b of American goods."

Trudeau is absolute class.

The world will remember, even if these fairweather strongmen try to forget. And we will remind them.

Standing there proudly in a Union Jack suit, while your leader vigorously defends a foreign politician who has just dismissed Britain as a "random country" that hasn't fought a war in forty years, is quite something

You probably read this weekend the government was watering down the workers rights bill. Having looked at the amendments, there’s no weakening of anything, in most cases it’s been toughened up. www.theguardian.com/politics/202...

Lots of Conservative MPs now condemning JD Vance's latest attack on the UK, while their leader joins the likes of Dan Wootton in insisting we really didn't hear him say the thing we all just heard him saying

Canadian PM Justin Trudeau: "We're probably going to keep booing the American anthem. But let me tell Americans, we're not booing you, we're not booing your teams, we're not booing your players. We're booing a policy that is designed to hurt us. We're insulted. And we're angry."

(1/3) It needs repeating: in 1994, Ukraine was persuaded to give up its nuclear weapons to Russia in return for the US, the UK, and Russia guaranteeing Ukraine’s sovereignty, security, and territorial integrity.

‘You were working as a traitor for a Russian Tsar That much is true…’ Trump and Vance taking aim and spitting in the faces of every European in their latest bid to add a hammer and sickle to the star spangled banner All they want from Ukraine is half of everything in return for nothing

MAGA America can go fuck themselves. "Some random country" Go look up how many UK and French troops have been killed fighting when we came to America's aid post 9/11. FUCK YOU JD VANCE.

So Kemi Badenoch, who last week delivered a speech accusing young people of being unpatriotic, and unwilling to fight for their country, has today defended a foreign leader who labelled Britain a "random country" that hasn't fought a war in decades

Telling that after Trump betrays Europe and his Vice President writes the UK off as a "random country", the leader of his majesty's supposedly loyal opposition's first instinct is to rush to his defence

This really is ageing like vinegar

It's abuser talk. And anyone that says it, including those half-hearted bastards who defend Trump without really committing to it, deserves the damage to their reputation that follows.

When they say peace, they mean surrender.

Polish Nobel Peace Prize winner Lech Wałęsa and 38 other former political prisoners of Poland's communist regime have condemned Donald Trump's treatment of Volodymyr Zelensky on Friday, which they said reminded them of communist interrogation techniques

GBNews has managed to find a UK veteran who is more than happy to defend JD Vance’s comments. It’s fair to say this news channel is finding the last few days very hard to manage.

As I was saying.... www.prospectmagazine.co.uk/politics/con...

I don't really get why anyone listens to the Today programme anymore, for precisely this reason. It's not biased really, it's just hopelessly glib and superficial. You learn very little.

As the holiday season approaches, a reminder never to give your real address to the odious couple who rented a flat in the same building.

Meanwhile, in world on fire latest, a Chinese govt spokesperson: "If the United States... persists in waging a tariff war, a trade war, or any other kind of war, the Chinese side will fight them to the bitter end."

I care about the integrity of our borders, says man cheerleading for an administration that has just abandoned one of our European neighbours to an invading army

'Always back the side with the most weapons.' New worst possible take just dropped...

It's time to end the Trump denialism and admit that the US is no longer Europe's ally. Why while Keir Starmer's attempts to be an "honest broker" with Donald Trump have been well-intentioned, it is now clear they are doomed to failure bylinetimes.com/2025/03/04/d...

"Elon Musk sparks row at Royal Society but remains a member" 🧪🎓 I mean he's literally killing people with his unlawful DOGE actions, what else do they think he has to do to get his membership revoked? www.bbc.com/news/article...

Chamberlain appeased Hitler in 1938, when he didn't know for certain that there would be a larger war - and not three years later, when hundreds of thousands of people had already died

Today’s Russian papers predict “a reconfiguration of the whole system of international relations”, highlight a “deep crisis in the Western camp” & suggest European leaders are “dreaming” if they think Russia will agree to their plan for a partial truce in Ukraine. #ReadingRussia

Keir Starmer told his Cabinet this morning that "the US is an indispensable ally of the UK". Here's why Trump's actions overnight have exposed that as a lie bylinetimes.com/2025/03/04/d...

Reposting something I wrote from a couple of weeks ago about the new US/Russia axis and where it comes from. It isn’t just transactional, it’s ideological. It’s bleak but it’s reality. goodallandgoodluck.substack.com/p/were-wakin...

"20k troops from some random country that hasn’t fought a war in 30 or 40 years" JD Vance's comments and this picture coming to an election leaflet near you soon

How fortuitous for him that the only viable way to save Ukraine from more slaughter at the hands of the Russians just happens to be an economic proposal that vastly enriches him, Trump and their US billionaire friends.

Chris Murphy: "Everyone who signs up to work for Donald Trump is signing up for one single project, and that is the transition of American democracy to a kind of kleptocratic oligarchy in which the billionaires rule and get to steal from regular Americans."

Fuck, it’s more Saga than MAGA

Protecting free speech latest

He's running

See, the thing is, Zelensky refused to tug his forelock to Trump. Or to grovel.

Starmer: “I do not accept that the US is an unreliable ally.” Starmer has to say this. The key is that he doesn’t believe it.

Starmer: “I do think the United Kingdom has a responsibility to step up and to lead. We’ve done that historically. We’re doing that again.”

Photo of the Day. Allies.

This is Marco Rubio explaining how the USA promised to defend Ukraine forever if they got rid of their nuclear arsenal left after the Soviet Union fell. This is why lil marco was sinking into the couch. He was hoping we wouldn’t find it…so don’t RT right now this very second.

What a “win” for Russia 📍 It’s 3 day war now into its 4th year for small gains 📍 Finland and Sweden now in NATO 📍 European Defence Force on the way 📍 European defence spending UP.

Can we just enjoy for a moment how insane with rage this picture is making Trump right now

The 'elite' club of being too racist to be employed by GB News.

Trumped. King Charles with President Zelensky at Sandringham this evening.
