I don't really get why anyone listens to the Today programme anymore, for precisely this reason. It's not biased really, it's just hopelessly glib and superficial. You learn very little.

Find Justin Webb on Today on Radio 4 completely unlistenable when it comes to the US: glib, ill-informed and opinionated is the worst possible combination in this moment

I listen to foreign radio stations now. Ones with no news bulletins. Well done, Britain 🎧🙄
Europe needs a UK that is as strong as possible.
That means the UK needs to rejoin the EU.
We’re stronger, they’re stronger. It’s a win-win.
Yes, I know it always was - but the logic is obvious now and the public would be receptive.
🇬🇧 + 🇪🇺
We reverse it by acknowledging it happened and pointing to all its side effects. That way convincing people to change their vote next time they’re given a chance.
I stopped when they clearly decided Brexit was. “Done deal” in 2016
The bias is in where it is glib, but it's not actively biased in the Laura I manner, no.
I then flicked to LBC and Farage was on with Nick.
Bonus: I found Mills on 2 as Moyles is off and Toby is annoying.
Gave up Today years ago.
Because they are either readers of the Express, Mail or Telegraph?
Now is the time to nail your colours to your mast.
Along with the balls of your foes...
So yes, a station like World Service which gives this topic lower priority, is always likely to be better.
Today is instant film flam and game playing..
Emma 'Gotcha' Barnett or Amol 'Monotony' Rajan are pale shadows.
Also, Justin Webb's renowned journalistic objectivity and judgement...

I've taken swift action for my sanity📴
QT is appalling. Fiona Bruce clueless and complicit. She should be presenting showbiz news ar the very most.
Only BBC would say, 'if both sides are unhappy with us that shows we must be doing something right'
In other industries it is not a good sign when none of your customers are happy. It shows change is needed
Is weird, because he had to escape back to Britain when his child fell ill. But he still slants everything in US favour.

It's the last bastion of any kind of sense on R4.
Ugh
Would rather have root canal than listen to him
The focus on what Zelenskyy wore at the White House is a classics example of this.
Or so we're told by BBC execs who have to make a virtue of underfunding journalism to appease RW Licence Fee campaigners.
But the Third Programme continues to wander downhill. The 09.30 onwards slot is banal. 'france musique' is the preferable alternative. Friday Night is Music Night was transferred from R2.

All political programmes have a seat reserved for Reform and/or Tufton Street for ‘balance’.
The balance rarely extends to the Lib Dem’s or any left wing organisation.
Here’s the thing, I listened for 35 years but don’t miss it at all. I consume my current affairs in other ways now and the BBC lost its place. That’s life.
Poor quality journalism.
Important questions are jettisoned in favour of trying to get a 30 seconds clip that will make it onto later news bulletins.
I like EB too but that was painful/a waste of everyone's time.
so disillusioned by the BBC, run by Tory stooges, that I rarely have it on.
It’s irrevocably tarnished for me.
It's not about balance — it's about truth.
1) To discover what the uninterested uninformed middle classes are thinking
2) Because Nick Ferrari makes my ears bleed
I certain do not listen to hear incisive interviews by brave journalists.
