I personally think it’s a waste of time and energy. All it does is re-enforce the support he does have as someone who rails about being persecuted at all times despite being in power

Yeah i just don’t think this person is right? Or at least be honest about the downsides of this strategy. Marjorie Taylor Greene put forward many articles of impeachment vs Biden and they went nowhere. Impeachment is a serious measure that should not be used unless it will work.

How? They aren’t in the majority

And this is the school Santa Ono is leaving U of M for to be president for? Interesting.

He won the state after losing it in 2020. If anything, Whitmer did him a favor, and Michigan keeps a base open that generates a bunch of economic impact for the state

She kept an air force base in the state open, something politicians on both sides of the aisle have been clamoring for

Also people don’t do my job for free. Why would I expect journalists to do the same

6 years of Yzerman and nothing to show for it but mediocrity 😭

He can hire more immigration judges, something that would have happened in the bipartisan immigration bill he killed last year ahead of the election.

That’s not how responsible journalism works. You don’t out sources who have requested anonymity. But Axios doesn’t need to print their quote if they are a *sitting member of congress* too scared to actually make a newsworthy statement.

Your post combined with the image in the article preview gives the impression that Robert Garcia said this anonymous quote

The only reporting I have seen is on NCCC being shutdown, which is only one of a few different programs. I was a two year VISTA who also used the education award to pay off student loan debt

You get paid literal poverty wages to do important things like answer the phone on the national suicide prevention lifeline, so yeah, i would say its pretty efficient

I enjoyed your March cover story and look forward to getting the full book. Thanks for writing!

Also if the topic at hand is building new housing, you won’t find the constituency most impacted; the new people who want to and can afford to move to your community!

Such a sad state of affairs, driven mostly by short-term growth hopes and horrific consumer behavior

And yes. This is absolutely a make or break season. This is the first season under Yzerman that they will have less points than the year before. That means the team is stagnant. If Steve can’t build a playoff roster for the 1st full year of McLellan, then new leadership is needed.

I would be shocked if they cut Mrazek loose since they just acquired him and SY cited his contract (vs the FA market). I wonder if Talbot plans on hanging it up?

It’s split R/D in the house and senate, so it is unlikely. Kind of a spot where a governor should throw some weight around. But she is checked out here, imo

Many people here in Michigan wish she would focus on what is happening here in the state, where the legislature has passed 2 bills, and met the fewest times in recent history.

Is it possible for journalists to interview customs officers about how tariffs work from their POV? I have looked for it but haven’t been able to find anything.

This is not important but it annoys me that the countries are not in alphabetical order or numerical order. No order at all actually.
comment in response to post
One could argue Whitmer is doing the same thing in Michigan for a state senate seat that if GOP would create a split senate, and lose Dem total control.

This team is so soft. It’s so sad to see. I think Steve should get a full year with McLellan, but man. You built this roster dude, and it bites.

Michigan has an independent one that just redistricted for the first time and it really balanced out the state in a logical way.
