The New York Post and other tabloids need to keep doing this. This is undoubtedly a source where Trump supporters get news.

Furry curious?

Unfortunately, people did or they just didn't care.

Lol that seems fair

Dear God, yes.

Lol quite the unfortunate typo

That would mean that they would likely be entering the workforce in 8ish years... With how quickly genAI has evolved in the last year, it's really hard to know what the workforce will look like then.

It's amazing how much money you can save when you cut services that people require to live

You can write the best story, but if you can't get it in front of customers, it isn't going to sell. The customers are on Amazon.

I'm sorry, but this is exactly what you singed up for. If you wanted order and normalcy, you wanted the other candidate

The anti-vax movement is the real mind virus we've gotta fix.

Lol love this

Yeah, but given EAs track record, I'd say it's more than reasonable to assume

His first two weeks have been such a cluster fuck, even for him

That assumes there's a legitimate election in 2028

If this happens, the prospect of him getting another 4 more is that much more a reality

Almost every time...

It's true, but AAA has gotten really bloated. If you start making smaller scale games, you can't justify having a 500-2000 dev staff
comment in response to post
It does, but who's to say that the market wouldn't accept $100 for a game? I know it seems like a lot now, but when games like GTA start hitting at $100, will it really reduce the funnel much? I think if this were to happen, it would revitalize the smaller, AA market that indies have taken over.
comment in response to post
If they can normalize more expensive games, that would help with the costs, too. You aren't wrong - increasing prices isn't the only way to get them out of this bubble. Spending less is hard, though, because that means smaller dev teams, which means significant layoffs
comment in response to post
We need a resurgence of the AA market. Hats off to the indie market for completely dominating that space in AAs absence.
comment in response to post
Which is exactly why it isn't bad timing for a shift. We have options now. If someone doesn't want to spend $100 on a new AAA game that cost hundreds of millions to make, there are tons of great indie games that are much more affordable while they wait for sales.
comment in response to post
Games were $60 dollars standard in the PS3/Xbox 360 era, which would translate to ~$100 today with inflation. I get that it's a big jump, but we can't be surprised when there are layoffs and pubs stop taking risks when games haven't been properly price adjusted for 20+ years
comment in response to post
I don't even know if I'm against this. Gaming has needed a pricing correction for a long time and they've tried to do it with seasons/online passes, pointless DLC, mtx's, etc... I do think gaming development could be much more efficient, but games have been largely the same price for ~25 years.

Legitimate question: how is Bluesky immune to the same issue? I get that currently it's being developed with the best intentions, but why can't it turn into X? I'm admittedly not super sure how the tech works, so maybe it can't be, but hoping to better understand

He's reducing green energy initiatives and hiking up tariffs on Canada, a country that imports a ton of energy/fuel to the US. So becoming less self-reliant on energy and heavily taxing fuel from other countries... In what universe does this not lead to exorbitant energy costs for Americans?

I wish I could. Too many friends and family exclusively use Facebook and they have a stranglehold on the VR market. I've uninstalled Instagram and Facebook, but they still have me with Messenger and Meta Quest

Haha I guess just the posts the algorithm gives me

Agreed. Assuming Trump does cede power when his term is up, Trump followers will likely be deflated come next election - the problem with building a party around one guy. Easier to engage disengaged people than try to reprogram Trump voters.

Things feel much more positive on here. Here's hoping the trolls go to X and Meta platforms.

Great way to cap off the year. Really looking forward to the slate of games coming to Gamepass this year

Because it's not a black and white situation for everyone.

I've heard that's the sentiment, but every post I've seen from actual people are positive. I'm super stoked for it. I just need it to play games at higher resolutions and FPS. Would really love to see FPS and resolution boosts for OG Switch games.

Yeah, but it's also Chinese spyware

This actually looks super cool. Thanks for sharing!

Backwards compatibility is one of the big reasons PlayStation became so dominant - they've become ecosystems generation to generation. Nintendo would have been insane not to take advantage of the robust Switch library. Now we just gotta see if they'll offer upscaling/higher FPS for Switch games

I disagree. I work with different stakeholders who have different perspectives to arrive at the best solution. That isn't politics. Politics isn't working together; it's getting things done in spite of each other. In this way, government could benefit from being a well run business.
