Hypnotized? I feel like I’m going to get killed. It’s really not a great idea to have an FBI chief with Charlie Manson Eyes.

Bauer is obviously trying to help Musk, not interview him. A real interviewer would say something like “a traitor gives aid and comfort to the enemy in wartime. Are we at war and is Ukraine our enemy?”

The kid is a fashion accessory, the human equivalent of Paris Hilton’s purse chihuahua.

Trump claimed during the campaign that a gang had “taken over” Aurora Colorado, so they needed to cast enough bodies to look like a plausible force to take over a town. For the photo op, you know.

Fun fact - when Nero (the crazy one) was emperor, he participated in the Olympics and would you believe it? He WON every event he entered. Including the chariot race, when he fell out of the chariot and didn’t complete the course.

What a coincidence! I just won the Joyce’s Living Room Beauty Pageant! Where’s my tiara, I’m a beauty queen!

If she’s smart, she’ll resign now and leave a resignation letter making clear that she never agreed to have anything to do with DOGE. Then again, she works for Trump admin, so odds are she’s not smart. She’s going to make some law office very rich. Very very very rich.

So basically he was drinking at work.

Embarrassing? stupid? Illegal? You forgot the most obvious descriptor - CRAZY. He sounds CRAZY.

Yep, they’re supposed to return to the office, only whoops, DOGE is also cancelling their office buildings leases.

Hey, can we ditch the euphemisms about the global wealthy and speak plainly? Trump is trying to sell US citizenship to the Russian mob.

I thought it was a fashion accessory, Musk’s version of Paris Hilton’s purse chihuahua.

Neville Chamberlain allowed Hitler to take Czechoslovakia without the Czechs in the room. Hitler promised faithfully to go no further and Chamberlain came home bragging that he’d achieved “peace in our time” … How did that work out?

DOGE “Let’s streamline the government by sending a bunch of unvetted hackers to go wilding through the critical computer systems and eliminate programs they don’t understand. Bonus, they’ll steal your private info and maybe your money”

I agree that this was a pre-planned ambush, but that bit at the end? That wasn’t scripted, Trump was legit out of control. That was the dementia talking.

Churchill just loved his siren suits. They were a war innovation - basically an adult onesie that solved the problem of what to do when the air raid sirens go off - risk your life by staying to get dressed, or scamper down to the tube station in your pjs. Siren suits solved the issue.

When Winston Churchill visited FDR in the White House, he wore his siren suit. Both he and Zelenskyy wore the costume of a leader of a nation in a monumental struggle for its very existence.

And have you noticed how they are unwittingly proving the value of DEI every time they fire a superbly qualified minority or woman and replace them with a white guy who is mediocre at best and comically unqualified at worst?

Run free, AP! While the rest of the press corps is stuck in a room reporting on the same lies as everyone else, take the time to do some real investigative journalism. Suggest you look into the backgrounds of the vandals wilding through our government computer systems.

When I heard Trump’s explanation of the plan I thought - he’s back in the 80s when he was the brash young millionaire developer storming Manhattan and Atlantic City while taking models to trendy hot spots. Those were his glory days, and his decaying brain has taken him back there.

I’ve been saying - Trump’s Gaza thing is not a plan. It’s a SYMPTOM. There will be more.
comment in response to post
This is not a plan. It’s a symptom. Call out the guys with the big butterfly nets to haul this lunatic away somewhere safe.

I’m seeing less reporting on his other drunken chant - “No means yes.” Sexual assault in the military is going to skyrocket. Whether or not it will be reported is another issue.

Are Republicans really not embarrassed by their party leader flacking these cheesy products to line his own pockets?
comment in response to post
If you are still a Republican but don't support fascism -- you MUST leave your party or be considered a fascist. The conservative Republican party is dead and buried. The fascist white nationalist Republican party is all that remains. You aid fascists if you stay. Period.

One thing I’m curious about in this whole situation is - how common is it for nonprofit organizations to hold “team events” at strip clubs?
comment in response to post
I don’t know which would be worse - that nobody on the Trump team knew about any of this, or that they knew and figured it didn’t matter.

Huh. Maybe he shouldn’t have lied about those blameless election workers over and over again, to the point where they were being threatened with death and had to go into hiding.

How about allegorical novels about a better future and how we get there? “Here’s the way our descendants make things better” sounds like a more enticing read that “everything everywhere is screwed and always will be”.

Just as a data point, the new ABC show Doctor Odyssey has the main character’s backstory as being the US Patient Zero for COVID. If it’s not Too Soon for network television, it’s not too soon.
