Honestly, you're not wrong. While this administration is an absolute circus, we need to remember failings of the past, otherwise we're just going to be in a circle of bad or less than ideal leadership. Also, Bernie was right, he's always been right.

This is a legitimate daily conflict in my head. Sometimes I'm like: wow humans are outstanding. Other times I'm like: yeah we might be the worst species on this planet. Most of the time I'm just tired.

I prefer physical books but yeah audiobooks count. Whether it is or not "technically" reading, the experience is still there. You still love or hate the characters and the decisions they make. The plot still makes you feel things. You still get to discuss it with friends.
