I'm so average, my traits are so boring, that I only got matched to secondary characters,l... of shows I barely know about. 🤣

I disagree. The EV may eventually be plugged in. (e.g. the driver may have gone to get a cable) The ICE car has no right nor reason to be parked there at all.

> we are all some version of desaturated orange. ...except for one sad individual, who is not desaturated, just orange.

I would argue, if someone has 1000 items in their to-do list, there is no amount of good UX that can help them.

I believe these are better than the apps.

Except when the website is intentionally worse than the app, I suspect, on purpose. Then I just walk away. (Instagram, TikTok). I don't need them.

I stopped installing apps some time ago. I only use apps for things that can only be apps. No YouTube app. No Amazon app. No news apps. The browser can handle it, and often better than an app. I can keep multiple pages open and no block ads. It's a better UX than their apps.

and I almost didn't post this, because of the above.

I saw this earlier. I didn't read it, but I didn't reply either. I think it takes some, but minimal, amount of effort to resist the urge to dump your first reaction to something you don't like. It doesn't take much to realise the world doesn't need to hear your opinion all the time.

I know. I'm not saying it's good or acceptable. I just can't help but think it could be even worse.

Definitely keep the government accountable. No doubt about it. But you know it could be much worse, right? After the elections in Germany I read a joke in Spanish, about how a moderate right is now the only hope for the European Left.

It may be worth noting thst real raindrops don't have legs nor boots either.

Thank you for doing this podcast! I didn't grow up as an anglophone, and didn't read much to be honest. But now my children are reading most of the books in your podcast and I enjoy your analysis and funny comments.

I love your podcast! I can listen to it on Spotify or on Pocket Casts. But I'm not sure which one is better for the authors / content creators.

This definitely sucks. Can you point to something better, though?

🥲 I miss spiral-bound user manuals.

I've been using duckduckgo.com for years and I don't miss Google search at all.

I recommend the Not Just Bikes YT channel, which is mostly about urbanism and car dependency. m.youtube.com/@NotJustBikes

I never trust when oil companies say they're investing in renewables. Now they're not even pretending anymore. This one in particular has Petroleum in its name. What can we expect!?

narrator: this was not one of those times 😂

I think it was obvious by episode 2, when she's seen watching CCTV, basically catching up on what had happened... well, in season 1

that may need to change with the times

I think the videogame must be designed for coin-op machines: having a limited number of lives, increasing difficulty, and NO TUTORIALS! I think modern games may be different? I don't know. I don't play those.

Who are they trying to fool!? Everybody knows that X has no community standards whatsoever.

Looks great! But I feel nerd-sniped. Now I need to figure out the equation for the sphere radius as a function of the paper cup dimensions.

honest question: in the wild they'd be able to move in 3 dimensions and therefore less trapped by the surrounding algae and debris? or not?

I'm confused. At my children's school assemblies nobody prays, worships, or anything like that. Is it a legal requirement that some schools ignore?

this is much better than the C64 version I remember playing

if you can stop using all those social media apps for a boycott, why would you even resume using them after? take the opportunity to stop using them for good. they're not good for their users. I just don't use any apps that show me ads.
